  About me
  
  First and foremost: I am allergic to fragrances and perfumes, including scented personal care products. I require unscented hygiene products during your stay. If you regularly use perfume or strongly scented products, this placement is not a fit.
  
  I provide high-quality scent-free personal hygiene products free of charge during your stay.
  I am currently in my 40s, transitioning from teaching languages to psychotherapy, and studying in a Master’s program in psychotherapy. My life is calm, structured, and focused on study and personal development.
  
  I enjoy arts, history, music, reading, and singing (pop, soul, gospel). I also value meaningful conversation and a respectful home environment.
  
  Important: Workaway expectations
  
  This is a working exchange, not a casual accommodation arrangement.
  
  I am looking for people who understand that the “work” in Workaway is a real commitment. Please only contact me if you are genuinely interested in contributing to the household in a consistent and reliable way.
  
  I am looking for people who:
  - clearly understand the exchange aspect of Workaway
  - can describe what they can contribute, not only what they are looking for
  - are not primarily seeking accommodation or lifestyle exploration without clear engagement in the work component.
  
  If you are currently in a period of major personal instability and are primarily seeking emotional support or processing significant personal issues, this is not the right placement.
  
  The stay:
  One private room available for one person.
  Minimum stay: 3 months (longer preferred).
  This is a quiet, stable home suited to someone who enjoys a calm lifestyle and respectful co-living.
  
  House rules & environment:
  No guests
  No smoking
  No drugs
  No parties or heavy drinking
  No overnight stays elsewhere without prior discussion
  The home is quiet, clean, and structured. Respect for shared space and communication is essential.
  
  Help & exchange:
  Around 20 hours per week, including:
  regular cleaning and upkeep of the home
  occasional errands
  light practical tasks (e.g., furniture assembly, organization)
  If you have additional skills (e.g., social media, video, music, sewing/alterations), the exchange can be adapted accordingly.
  
  What I offer:
  Language practice in French or English
  Informal support with exercise routines (DIY home setup available)
  Informal guidance on nutrition and healthy habits

  Alojamiento

  Separate, private bedroom in a 3-bedroom flat. Right next to Plamondon Metro station in Montreal (about 20 minutes to downtown, or about an hour's walk). Laundry in building. 2 cats share this residence. Shared bathroom and kitchen.
  
  - 20 min walk from the St-Joseph Oratory
  - great running area in the Cote-des-Neiges cemetery for those of you who love to run
  - 10 min walk to the movie theather
  - 15 min walk to bars and restaurants
  - 1 min to metro station
  - 5 min walk to grocery stores and pharmacy
  - close to plenty of thrift stores and deep discount stores.
  
  If you are into sewing: I have a sewing machine and equipment, if you want to make yourself some nice clothing.

  - 7km to the Basilique Notre Dame de Montreal
  
  Lots of thrift stores, organic food stores, and fun shops to explore.
  
  Have been hosting for over 2 years now; it's working very well and I love workaway
  
  No smokers of anything, only people who don't drink alcohol (0 tolerance), no parties, no guests.
