  Descripción

  We are a family of 3, Catherine, Marco, and our 1-yo Hector. We settled in St Athanase, a beautifull village that is one of the biggest producers of maple syrup in Quebec. Our project is to develop our self-sufficiency skills while restoring our little farm to a healthy and rich ecosystem that produces food in abundance.
  We would like to receive workawayers to share our experiences and discoveries, and learn together. Now that we got the first steps done, our gardens can support more people and we would love you to come help us to keep it going and move forward!
  A few years back we used to backpack travel together in Europe and loved all the encounters and the hospitality we experienced. Now that we have animals to take care of, we really feel like travelling the other way: by hosting travelers and hearing all about your adventures!

  We now have some experience in growing food and keeping farm animals. We are passionate about agroecology and ways to create abundance by enhancing biodiversity and using techniques to build a living soil. We would be very happy to show you what we know, discuss, and lend you some books if you are interested!

  Ayuda

  We are looking for some help taking care and feeding our animals (2 dogs and chickens in winter, some more in summertime).
  We could be interested in some help with the garden maintenance, fixing the barn, cutting trees, making fences, processing harvests...
  We would love it if you'd like to play and occasionally watch our 1 year old son.
  If you feel like cooking dinner it can be really helpful too!

  We have a guest room in our house. We share the commodities.

  It's our first year as hosts, we don't have a set up way to do things. We feel the best is that you write to us what is your situation and expectations for your stay and we will see what kind of deal works for everybody. (Regarding food, hours/days of work, tasks etc..)
  We are really open minded and relaxed about it, we just want everyone to have a good time! :)
