Hej!
There’s never a shortage of ideas or work to do! You’ll be helping with firewood, cleaning up and pruning the forest, and working in the garden, which has a stunning view of Lake Kallsjön and Mount Åreskutan.
In the summer of 2026, we’re also looking for a person or couple who could stay a bit longer—around 6–8 weeks—to help us start some larger projects in the forest.
In 2008, Mark and Mathilde moved to Sweden, and we still love living here. Today, our family includes two teenagers—Finn (15) and Sanna (12)—along with our dogs, Smokey and Peanut, and a few chickens. We live in a farmhouse surrounded by land and forest, which is a bit too much for us to manage on our own, so we’re looking for some help!
After years of traveling, we’re now excited to welcome fellow travelers to our home.

Dutch family that likes adventures, going for a fish, hike ore canoe trip and make a fire. We can learn you all about the country living lifestyle! We like to cook outside on a fire and of course the Swedish fika!

Looking for help chopping wood, mowing or/and helping with everything happening at our garden/land, taking out the dogs.

Alojamiento
You have youre own cabin in the forrest, close to the lake on our yard, 7 min. walk from our house. It has a livingroom and sleepingroom, a little kitchen where you can cook. There's no shower there but you can take it at our house. And of course you can use the lake to fresh up!

We're living i Back with a awesom vieuw at the Åreskutan, the nearest village is Kall with a shop/petrolstation.
Järpen is 22 km away and has a service like bank/medical care, railwaystation.
Åre is about 50 km , Östersund (with the biggest cityarea, hospital and shoppingmalls etc) is 100 km away.
We can pick you up in Järpen at the trainstation.
If you want to enjoy the swedish wildlife, silence, natur, animals (moose, fox, rendeer, deers, birds), picking berrys, work some hours mostly outside, make a fire and some food and get fooled by the fact the sun is not going down... come and stay with us to make some memories.
