There are a lot of places around the world where the local culture has been left aside by local people and it has been packaged and commercialized for tourism. Curanipe is on that tipping point and day to day we are working to empower the local people by immersing ourselves in their culture, learning from their experiences and doing all we can to communicate the importance of a fossil free economy and how their local techniques of cultivation, house construction, fishing and handcraft is a real benefit to society and the key to being healthy and independent. By staying with us, you will experience this cultural exchange first hand and will learn all about the local cultures, its difficulties and its beauty.
Im looking for people motivated in empowering local families on the importance of their culture and traditions. At the same time, being agriculture a key aspect of sustainable society, you would be helping on an experimental farm that has been degraded by pine tree plantations for several years and together we look to create a garden of eden using permaculture design. This may include all kinds of help, from building to gardening! The help wont be tough and we can accommodate the job type to what you feel comfortable doing.
Private room, share rooms, living room sofa and tents. all available. We are looking for adventurer people that can escape a bit out of their comfort zone.
The jobs are chilled and you manage your own time.
