    We are an eco-agro tourism farm in Yanıklar Village near Fethiye in the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. Our farm occupies 42,000 sq.m. of land in the middle of a valley, surrounded by pine forest, with a river as one of its boundaries. We are committed to organic growing, an ecological lifestyle and offering holidays on our farm where all buildings are ecologically designed, constructed of stone, wood or mud-brick and available for accommodation 12 months of the year.We are also a part of an organization to support Turkish organic/local farming.

    We are looking for volunteers, to help us in general farm tasks as well as the house tasks in exchange of accommodation and knowledge in organic farming and ecological architecture etc.

    Living and helping in a farm with local people - interacting with continuous flow of guests throughout the year, will certainly give you the opportunity to learn things like, traditional Turkish Cuisine, and ıts unique culture. You can also learn a lot about sustainable and ecological farming practices. Volunteers are also encouraged to talk to visiting Yoga / Meditation Instructors to see ıf they can also be a part of their programs - if they are interested.

    The only reason why we want to host volunteers is to have a different voice, create diversity in our farm, learn different cultures and teach them our way of living, and inspire the youth who might be choosing the same path of traveling and discovering the World while ‘’they’’ learn and inspire others.

    We accept volunteers over 18 year old, all year round. Since responsibilities are seasonal, take a look at our Farm Calendar to find a time matching your interests.

    At the moment we have 8 professional, local paid staff member as follow :
    4 Staff members in the kitchen
    2 for House Keeping
    1 Handyman and 1 person responsible for the farm and landscaping

    We offer volunteers, learning the ecological living through experiences in farming, ecological architecture, recycling, compost making etc.

    January: Pruning trees, setting cuttings, sowing seeds, planting garlic and onions, making tangerine wine.
    February: Pruning trees, setting cuttings, sowing seeds, planting garlic and onions, making tangerine wine.
    March: Harvesting Valencia oranges, making orange wine, planting winter onions, sowing seed for summer vegetables, gathering flowers for drying, sheep out to pasture.
    April: Preparing the ground for planting out of vegetable seedlings: ploughing, fertilising and organising separate areas. Planting out seedlings into correct areas. Some tree grafting; harvesting broad beans and artichokes, weeding strawberry beds.
    May: Start regular watering of trees and vegetables, hoeing, applying liquid fertiliser to vegetables, harvesting peas, making poppy syrup as a base for wine.
    June: Struggling with weeds in the fields, hoeing, harvesting early summer vegetables, pick early peaches, harvest strawberries.
    July: Harvest summer vegetables, water and continue the battle against the weeds.
    August: Sow winter vegetable seeds in the tunnel, water summer vegetables and trees regularly, continue harvesting summer vegetables.
    September: Plough the field for the planting out of winter vegetables (cabbage, leek, vetch, etc.) plant out winter vegetable seedlings.
    October: Pick pomegranates and make pomegranate wine, plough the parts of the fields used for summer vegetables, continue the battle against the weeds.
    November: Fertilise, pick quince, make quince wine and jam, plough field.
    December: Fertilise, pick quince, make quince wine and jam, plough field.
