    Hola a todos!

We are a Spanish language school in Costa Rica. Our aim is to teach, immerse, and initiate a global understanding of Costa Rican culture. We offer intensive Spanish language classes as well as a Homestay program where students live in the homes with local families and share two meals a day with them. Additional programs include Latin dance classes, yoga, adventure tours, cultural tours, and free conversational programs with local English students.

    MARKETING/PHOTOGRAPHER VOLUNTEER
    2023 | January 1 - May 1

    • We really need a marketing specialist / social media manager / photographer
We're bouncing back from the covid situation and have many adult students at the school experiencing Costa Rican culture through Spanish, cooking, and dance classes! :) But we're really behind on capturing those experiences visually and need help with daily posts to social media.

If you are professional experienced, we are looking for someone who can create email marketing and social media campaigns and can track data from those campaigns. Our Program Director has significant experience in Google Analytics and Facebook Marketing but is often too busy to design a proper campaign and make tweaks to it where necessary. We know there are digital nomads out there that know this digital marketing world in and out! Please help us! :)

A background in SEO and/or Google Adwords is a huge plus. Facebook/instagram marketing a huger plus. Really, if you are a social media fan, we're open to meeting you and hearing more about your experience in the area!

    TEEN SPANISH CAMP LEADER
    2023 | June 1st – August 31st

We are looking for an experienced camp counselor / director to help us run our Teen Spanish Summer Camp! Camp’s are 2-week jam packed programs that place students in homestays (local Costa Rican family homes) and Spanish classes and take students out on daily field trips to animal rescue centers, city museums, local food markets, rainforests, beaches, and volcanos. It’s open to 13-17 year olds many of which have never left their home country before.

The TEEN SPANISH CAMP LEADER role includes planning afternoon activities, acting as a bridge between students and school staff, helping to communicate with campers basic camp rules, organizing the daily camp lunch, updating the daily itinerary, and playing a shoulder to cry on for those students who feel homesick or have a personal issue they need to express. Roles also include the occasional Whatsapp communication with parents as well as taking lot of photos for sharing during the camp with both campers, staff, and parents.

Experience with teenagers or youth programs is a must, and a fun-loving and positive attitude is essential! Please message us with "pura vida" in your message so we know you've read the whole listing.

    What We Can Offer You

You’ll not only be engaging with staff and students, but also with Spanish professors, activity coordinators, local English learners, and restaurant owners. The school is constantly interacting with the community and is always trying to involve itself more.

    • Homestay Accommodation:
Live with a local family walking distance to the place. There you’ll be given breakfast, dinner, laundry service, a private bedroom, and a key to come and go as you please. More than 95% of our regular adult students chose this lodging option when they participate in our program.

    • Spanish Classes:
Depending on your preference, take 2-10 hours per week totally covered by the school.

    • Weekly Adventure Tour with Students:
Tours like white water rafting, canopy zip lining, and rainforest beach hikes are included. Afternoon activities like Latin dance class, yoga, animal rescue center visits, and coffee farm tours are also all comped and paid for.

We have a separate room on site at the school with a full size bed, a desk, and some basic closet space. You'll have your own private bathroom that has a standing shower, toilet, and sink. Likewise, you'll have access to a full service kitchen at the school.

In the case of very qualified volunteers looking to stay for 3-10 weeks, we can discuss the option of housing volunteers in a local homestay where two meals a day will be provided.

    Algo más...

We are located in the heart of Costa Rica in a city called Heredia. The city alone is home to three Universities which gives fuel to a lively nightlife complete with many bars and restaurants. Within a 30 miles radius of the school, there are 3 volcanoes and 4 national parks. The Pacific Ocean is only a 2-hour bus ride away giving way to incredible tropical beaches, rain forests, animal life, etc.
