Antonella was just wonderful to have around! She stayed with us for around 3 weeks, was super sweet & creative with the kids, always observative, easygoing, independent & a big help around the house. We can warmly recommend her :-)

I spent almost three weeks in Ariany, Mallorca, for a Workaway experience with a multicultural family, helping with both babysitting and creating marketing materials for their yoga retreats. Juan and Annika were really welcoming and kind, giving me the flexibility to organize my tasks and enjoy the island!

Ariany is a quiet, rural area, so having a car is definitely a must if you want to explore. I loved driving around and discovering Mallorca’s beautiful landscapes in my free time.
A heads-up about the accommodation: it’s very simple—personally, a bit too basic for my taste. The mattress is on the floor with a small pillow, and in winter, it gets quite cold at night since there’s no heating. I’d definitely recommend bringing a sleeping bag and warm clothes if you visit during the winter months, though Juan and Annika were super kind and provided me with one when I needed it.
The kids are very energetic and loud at times, which took some getting used to—you need to be comfortable with them occasionally bursting into the bathroom when you’re in it and hearing plenty of loud screams (after all, they are kids!).
Despite the initial adjustments, I really appreciated Juan and Annika’s kindness. They were always up for a chat, and I genuinely enjoyed our conversations. They made me feel included and valued, which made the experience much more enjoyable.
Overall, it was a unique experience that combined childcare, creativity, and life in a traditional Mallorcan countryside village—where the sunsets are just amazing! It’s ideal for someone comfortable with a simple lifestyle and an active household, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have been part of it!

Henrike was wonderful with the kids—attentive, playful, and always engaging with them in a great way. She was independent, responsible, and communicated clearly and thoughtfully at all times.

Esther was super nice and very independent! She helped us a lot with taking care of the kids, cooking and general household tasks. She was always polite, asked questions and communicated well - a big help in our house!

Valentin was very playful and attentive with our kids. He always observed what needed to be done and offered his help. He cooked for us and even made us a delicious banana bread while he was fasting! We shared some deep conversations and all very much enjoyed having him around.
