  Secondly, we run two social hostels in the heart of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Both provide unique and memorable experiences, and although they are technically different hostels, we are a team and they offer similar adventures. While Urban is our relaxed, homely and quaint hostel, which has won best hostel in Slovakia two years in a row - Wild provides that little bit extra ✨spice✨. Wild is, wild. We party hard and we love to go a little crazy at times. Ultimately, both are social hostels, run by, and for backpackers, with a strong emphasis on socialising and community. We love creating new connections, forming lifelong friendships and generating invaluable memories. We are inclusive, open-minded and forward thinking! We have no space for bigots, fascists or racists, but no matter your social battery, we have a place for everyone else!
  
  Our guests visit us from all around the world, offering diverse perspectives, distinct stories and remarkable cultural exchange opportunities. Though your time with us will often mean you are solely in Bratislava, our hostel offers an adventure not dissimilar to travelling to new places yourself. We are youth hostels with an emphasis on solo travellers and our guests often fit that profile.
  
  In order to socialise and engage, we organise many different social activities every day such as - group 'Slovak' lunches, visiting landmarks and museums, thrift shopping, sightseeing, hiking and lake swims! Some of our activities are a little bit fruitier, like IKEA hide and seek, dance classes, historically inaccurate walking tours and trivia games! We offer our guests a homemade meal every day and one of our volunteers signs up to be the chef - the meals are required to always be vegan (as it's the most inclusive meal type), made with love and ultimately, delicious 😋. At night we run our own pubcrawls which take our guests to some of the coolest (and often cheapest) bars, and clubs, in town. As a Workawayer you are of course invited to join everything free of charge!
  
  We have a diverse team of up to 40 beautiful individuals between the two hostels. They're all fellow travellers, from all over the world and eager to grow and explore just like you! We provide our team members with a bed in one of our staff dorms, a part time employment contract and the minimum hourly wage in accordance of local law (4€/h) for every hour worked, paid on a weekly basis. Because of this we require you to be an EU citizen or to have an EU work permit.
  
  Our positions are two weeks minimum! But we get a lottttttt of extensions, so feel free to have a chat with us once you’ve become acquainted with how we do things.
  
  Whether this is your first volunteering position, or you’re a seasoned veteran, we will provide you with the necessary training to complete your jobs. Experience is appreciated but not necessary; we’re more concerned with good vibes and a willingness to help.
  
  We do receive a TONNE of applications, so please keep your responses short, simple and sweet ❤️. Please state your name, nationality, age and availability alongside a brief description of who you are and what you feel as though you could bring to our team.
  
  Unfortunately, we don't accept couples but we do sometimes accept pairs of friends. Even though we show preference to solo travellers, don’t hesitate to reach out if you think you’d be the perfect fit.
  
  Despite the fact we love having fun and enjoying the memories we share, our work does need to be done correctly. Regardless, you will have a fantastic time here interacting with guests and other volunteers creating heartwarming connections with special people.
  
  Our managers were once guests who had truly special experiences and we aim to deliver that same feeling to every guest who embraces what makes us so unique 🤪.

  You can make many useful and memorable connections from all around the world. We offer a unique experience that fosters memories that will last a lifetime. You can even learn about Slovak culture and traditions (such as our favourite drink Borovička!) or practice your language skills with locals or our multicultural team.

  We are located right in the heart of the city, a two minute walk away old town and with all amenities within a short walk. We will show you our favourite parts of the city, the best places to get a beer, famous monuments and beautiful natural landscapes - all part of the experience which makes Bratislava unique.
