Hello dear Workaway(s)!
I am Fabien, 55 years old and Léa my 15 years old daughter.We live in a beautiful place in the Dordogne between Perigueux and Bordeaux. Léa is in the college by here mum town in an other region ,either the holidays she shared with me.
Our house is a spacious selfmade wooden house. There's still a lot to be done around the house!
The village and the surroundings are really nice, with lots of forests around for walking or cycling. There is also a lovely river running through the village for summer swimming and canoeing. The super market is 10 km far from our home.

You will join us in our social life, I enjoy teaching some dishes and pastry and of course French !

Aide
You will be welcomed as a family member and your daily support (a couple of hours) would be much appreciated. The chores could include:
cooking , cleaning the house, cleaning the orchard, weeding parts of the garden (such as removing brambles), cleaning the poultry yard including the hen house.
Fabien have a collection of Citroen old timer cars and vans of different sorts (i.e. 2CV DS HY AMI6 Mehari etc...) and any mechanical skills to help for mechanic or bodywork would be welcome and also car washing.
I also look for some one who can saw, I have more sawing project in stand by.
A garden experience will be appreciated.

Hébergement
Our proposal is to share the house including daily meals obviously. We supply breakfast and two other meals every day, mostly organic and vegetarian food. We don't drink much alcohol, but sometimes we have some good wine or selfmade beer (by me!) with friends.
Please note that we are a non-smoking family and consequently a non-smoking house.

Fabien play the trumpet every Thursdays evenings in a regional Big Band
The nearest train station is either Montpon-Ménésterol or Mussidan and we can pick you up if needed.
The nearest airport is either Bergerac or Bordeaux.
Bikes and a canoe will be provided if you dare.
Its preferable to come for more weeks and if it match for more month.
For the moment a big hand in the garden will be appreciated.
I am leaving the 23 of February until the 2 of mars 2024 so I will be very happy to find some house sitters for that time, food will be provided for that time. So help with animal care ,gardening and house sitting will be appreciated.

I learned a lot, Fabien is patient and he loves teach.
