We are a couple in the the seventies and are retired.
We live on a small farm, in the middle of Norway, not fare away from the town Steinkjer. We have no animals. (or, we have wild animals around)
Most of the country is a wooded area, but we have an area of about 3 acres where we have a garden / park.
The house on the farm is used for the accommodation.
We live in our own private house nearby.
Here are also other small houses, and we have a boathouse at the waterfront. We also have a boat with motor that we can use for trips at the fjord.
We attach great importance to colors and their importance to us humans, which is why we have established our place (Color-pile).
There is a lot of chores to do during the summer, and our summer is short ...
Most of the help is gardening, so we prefer people with gardening experience. We also make a lot of firewood for upcoming winters. The houses need maintenance, so there is always paint projects to do.
We want our workawayers to stay with us for 2 to 3 weeks.
This year we have space available in May.

In return for your help, you get the opportunity to learn some of the Norwegian language. You get work experience in inspiring and colourful surroundings, see parts of our district and learn something about our culture. We live in a beautiful landscape with excellent opportunities for recreational activities in nature.
Ajuda
As a workawayer by us we like you to be openminded, honest, have a good health, be practical and patient.
Most of the work is outdoor in all types of weather.
Helping us can sometimes be physically demanding, while other times we need to be patient.
And every summer we make firewood for coming winters.
Painting houses, and other stuff, is something that belongs to the summer activities.
Planting trees and bushes, and weeding, is always relevant. So it is a plus if you are are a practical person.
We want you to be with us for at least a couple of weeks, so we can get to know each other.

You get your own room in the farmhouse. The house has a kitchen, living room and bathroom on the first floor.
At second floor there are guest rooms. (Your room too)
You can use the whashing machine in the basement.
You have food for breakfast where you are staying, and you get lunch and dinner everyday together with us in our private house. We prefer that those who come to us eat ordinary traditional Norwegian food. All food is free.

Steinkjer is the nearest town (15 km) with county administration and shoppingcentre, cultural center, waterpark and so on.
It is two hour train trip to Trondheim.
