My experience at Baiereck was an incredibly positive one that left a lasting impression on me. I was welcomed very warmly by Gudrun and Michael, and I was lucky that Carmen and Manuka also stayed there at the same time. I really enjoyed foraging for wild herbs with Carmen, learning about their properties and German names, and subsequently preparing dried teas, or elderflower cordial for winter. I worked on the Benje's Hedge, where I collected branches and intertwined them to create a natural fence. I enjoyed caring for all the animals, who are so lovable. There is also great habitat for wildlife around the house, and I saw lots of newts, a slowworm, and squirrels. I loved the slower pace of life, where warm connection, meaningful conversation, and kindness was really valued. I was inspired by all their efforts towards caring for the environment; it really showed me how a household can implement eco-friendly habits. I found Gudrun and Carmen very interesting and inspirational women, who are so knowledgeable, caring and passionate about nature, animals, and music. I really appreciated how I was encouraged to try things and be creative - Carmen showed me how to use a drill, and let me paint a worm farm box, and Gudrun inspired me to play the violin again, and introduced me to a more holistic way of horse riding. I really enjoyed the cosy evenings filled with conversation and competitive card games, where Michael and Manuka would sing and play piano.
It was a great place to practice German, everyone is patient and willing to explain complicated German grammar. I even learned some Schwäbisch!
I feel very grateful for my experience and can't wait to return.Feito pelo anfitrião para o Workawayer (Laura)

Our Benjes hedge is a big and ongoing project which was Laura's favorite task and which she extended a lot during her stay.
It was a great pleasure having Laura stay with us and we hold her cordial and open minding of being in our memory.
We hope her path will lead her back to Baiereck once again.

The list would be very long if I wanted to write down all of Kiana's activities. They range from household chores to animal care and garden design. I had a wonderful and peaceful time with Gudrun and Michael.
They made me feel welcome from the start and helped me a lot with my German. Their farm is beautiful with so many cuddly animals, it was a great and rewarding experience to care for them! I was able to horse ride and go on amazing walks with their dog.

We found Heolise to be interested and open from the very beginning.

We look back on our time with Heloise with riches and gifts and thank

What a gift that Alex was with us. His actions were always focused and efficient. So many projects were tackled and completed on our small farm that we only dreamed of. He also dared to take on challenging, tedious or difficult tasks.
Alex loved variety. He worked on the daily barn chores as well as sanding down our wooden floor, laying a

As clear and focused as Alex was in his work, so was his communication, coupled with kindness and understanding.
Another outstanding quality is his absolute reliability, which makes independent work and teamwork possible.
Soon he will be with us again for a short time. We are very much looking forward to it, knowing that we can rely on Alex.

I enjoyed very much all the time that I spent in Gudrun and Michael's full of atmosphere old house. All in one: a first class experience, that I highly recommend!

It was delightful to discuss many topics with him and to glimpse wisdom in the process.

It‘s difficult to describe my experience staying at Gudrun and Michael‘s home. At least you have to visit it yourself to understand how extraordinary this place and it’s inhabitants are.
When I firstly arrived, Gudrun and Michael welcomed me quite warmly. Since then, I returned twice and each time, one of them or both picked me up from the train

Gudrun and Michael had been very thankful for everything I did. So it had been even more fun, because I could make them happy with my work ;).
Independent from my daily tasks I enjoyed to just be there, watching the animals with there different characters, going for a walk in the beautiful forested hills with Kalle, the dog, or playing the piano, whenever I wanted to.
I still miss the breakfast with Gudrun, which always had been quite unique and our long and deep conversations. But these are only few of the many details, which create the daily life in Baiereck, that I love so much by now. I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much both of you.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

What a gift it was to have two working hands here for five months! I arrived at Michael and Gudrun's place a day after Easter - and stayed for 5 months! It felt still very wintery - somewhat reflecting my inner state at the time - but spring was definitely in the air. Gudrun and Michael's ability to create a space for the unfolding of the inner treasures of people, animals and plants, took me on a wonderful
… read more journey of learning and healing. I deeply appreciate their generosity of heart, thoughtfulness, openmindedness, wonderful humour, unconditional love and tolerance which has made their home become my home and their family mine.
There are a million ways to contribute to life on this farm - something for everyone! For me, connecting with the land through setting up a vegetable, herb and flower garden was a perfect start. There is plenty of space to take initiative as a need becomes obvious or a creative impulse arises., while also chipping away on the ' magic pudding job list' (which keeps refilling itself ). So I found myself having fun planting, harvesting and preserving or cooking / baking with produce from the garden, digging out wayward blackberries, reorganising various storage rooms, painting window frames, pruning, weeding, caring for the animals, little artistic projects like weaving a life-willow-throne from a coppiced willow, and of course helping with the daily household chores.
My relationship with domesticated animals has changed a lot through observing Gudrun's way of communicating with them. Her deep respect for and insight into the being of the animal develops a great trust between them. Her contact is gentle and intuitive and it is inspiring to see e.g. the horses carrying her and listening to her without the use of a bit, whip or kick, but guided by thought, a gentle sound or tiny movement. I am touched by the love and healing these animals offer to all who enter this property.
I observe the same respect, spaciousness and care in Gudrun's work with the children who come for music or riding lessons, which they do with great joy. Two of my highlights were helping with the wilderness youth camp and the youth recorder retreat. A true delight!
Beside various projects we enjoy making music together, playing games, having a good laugh, meaningful conversations and of course time for one's own endeavors.
I am deeply greatful for these past 5 months here and leave transformed, enriched and with amazing new friends.
Dear Michael and Gudrun, you truly live 'love in action'. May your home continue to be a refuge which nourishes you as much as those who have the pleasure to share your home for some time.
