… read more very comfortable, you will sleep like a baby. Stefan is a very organized and clean person and so is the house. My work mainly consisted in panting and I also did a bit of cleaning around the house with Stefan. You will be given the choice of what you want to do, there are lots of difference chores you could pick from. I would go back anytime, it’s been a great experience. Kathleen stayed with us on the property for four weeks and has integrated perfectly. She has a strong sense of order and loves to cook and bake. We had many interesting conversations during meals together and on various excursions.

She also helped me with cleaning up the surrounding and it was a pleasure to work with her. Whatever she tackles, she pursues it with perseverance and doesn't stop until it's done.
I wish you many interesting life experiences and adventures and maybe our paths will cross someday somewhere on land or at sea!

I stayed with Stefan for 10 days in August, seeking a remote place to relax and unwind, and that's exactly what I found. I escaped the heat of the city, and the temperature at his place was perfect, reaching a cool 16 degrees at night. You can reach the nearby river with a 15 minute walk, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim (even in August

We went hiking together on the nearby hill, where the views are stunning.
The house is spacious, and the winter garden is the perfect spot to have dinner while enjoying the view. The guest room was incredibly comfortable—I slept like a baby. I spent most of my afternoons outside in the hammock, reading and resting, which I absolutely loved. The only visitors I had were two deers and a rabbit that live in the woods around the house.
Stefan is a funny and welcoming host, making me feel like a visiting friend.
The work we did was quite physical, such as clearing fallen trees with a chainsaw, tidying up the surroundings with a brush cutter, and pruning the ivy growing on the house walls and trees. However, we always discussed the tasks together, and Stefan allowed me to choose the work I felt like doing each day.
I hope more people will visit this place. It’s large and there’s plenty of work to be done, but it also offers a lot to those looking for tranquility and a chance to explore this beautiful part of the Ardèche, which I believe is well worth a visit.Feito pelo anfitrião para o Workawayer (Francesca)

She is interested in learning new things and because she is smart, she can adapt well to new tasks.
Francesca is also a good cook and it was a pleasure to cook with her. I enjoyed the meals we had together, the moments we spent having interesting conversations or the time we spent with friends.

… read more in the area or just doing some reading. Stefan also showed me around a town nearby, which was very nice. Although the area is a bit deserted I never felt bored, if you love nature this is the perfect spot.
I mostly worked on renovating a bathroom and gardening.

Despite my short stay of 3 days, the experience was a blessing . The Garden is huge , the view is breathtaking and the inside of the house is incredible.The house is sparsely furnished but has everything you could wish for, is clean and the furniture is unique.

But you should know that it's not much happening in the village , only nature everywhere but that didn't bother me.

… read more pretty remote but not completely cut off from civilization. Meaning there are many beautiful natural places which you don't have to go far to. Also you won't be feeling all alone here since Stefan enjoys another hoomans company and likes to show them around.
The work here vary. I think everyone can find something they can do as the land is big and there is a lot to do there. But you won't be overworked or forced to do things you don't like. You will be treated like a guest first and helping hands second. So as long as you have a common sense, you should be okay :)

he can explain you how to handle the working machines in case you are interested and did not work with them before.
