Dex and Mel were an absolute pleasure to host! They did some gardening and childcare work for us and did a great job of both. They were very respectful, easy to have around and good fun . I would recommend them to any host!
We loved the two weeks we spent with Danny, Tam, Ishy and the rest of the family! Waking up every morning to such beautiful views and the sounds of nature was an incredible experience. Danny and Tam are such warm people who have put a huge amount of work into creating such a special paradise.

… read more tasks to be done each day while allowing us to have flexibility over our working hours. We did some work on the land fruit picking, mulching, weeding and fertilizing - all with beautiful views. We also spent time looking after Ishy which was so much fun, he is such a sweet and joyful little soul who loves to explore, dance and play. We felt so lucky to get to know the little guy and have a lot of fun together.

Had a great time getting to know this extended family up in the hills.
Waking up to amazing views of all the surrounding rainforest was a treat. I was really grateful to be included in various fun things during my time there, like Julie's yoga classes, kayaking and surfing with Danny, family dinners, and a trip to

Help was mainly done independently, and for the most part included mulching and setting up irrigation for the tropical fruit/ avocado trees, as well as a bit of gardening, and painting indoors when it was rainy.
The location means that having your own transport would be ideal if you want to really explore the surroundings, but there are lots of opportunities to tag along with various members of the family.
I was ill for a few days of my time here and was very grateful that various people looked out for me and made sure I had what I needed to get better. I also felt lucky to meet a friend of the family's who I have gone on to stay with near byron, which is nice.

… read more beautiful property with absolutely stunning views - waking up to watch the sunrise over the ocean was so lovely. We loved surfing with them and had the best outing in Bellingen nearby on one of our days off! They have a really special place and are really special people. My Stay at this family was exceptional. Having initially planned to stay for to weeks I ended up staying for over a month. Not only did I feel welcomed and treated with so much warmth but also the variety of tasks made my stay there truly enjoyable. From light house renovations to gardening and fencing- my hosts always made sure I was up to the

I also got the opportunity to take part in fun activities such as surfing, calisthenics, relaxing yin yoga classes, cattlebell exercises and canoing (an unforgettable experience) during my free time. All in all I can't thank the whole family enough for having hosted me. It felt like a second home :)

Tamsyn & Danny were awesome hosts.
Even though I was only there for a short period (because of the rain/floods), I learnt a lot about shipping container builds, off grid living and growing fruit and veggies.
Tamsyn & Danny are really friendly, chill and were really flexible with regard to working in with my travel plans.

The work/chill balance was perfect. Beth was mainly helping with fixing up a new chook pen, gardening, painting, sanding, and helping with general maintenance. Ben was helping to build a new veranda! Everything was fully explained, we never felt uncomfortable or out of our depth with any task!
We loved spending time with Ella, Link, Danny and the rest of the fam! They made us feel so appreciated and we always had the best conversations.
We are seriously missing the morning smoothies, fresh veggies and amazing meals! We are definitely still crying about saying goodbye to all the amazing doggos :(
To conclude WE LOVE YOU!! Thank you so much for such a beautiful experience and we cannot wait until we meet again next year!!!

I am so grateful to have spent time with Danny and his family and the best thing I have to say is.. you will feel as part of it! The connection I have made during my time there I am sure will last a lifetime! I feel so blessed I got to know these wonderful human beings who built their dream place and way of living off the land!
