Descripción
I am an artist (sculpture, textile, video, installation, and eco-feminist collaborative practices) living and working in a rural area not far from New York City. At my home and studio, I have a nonprofit residency for queer artists and poets, and a lot of gardens and natural areas where we grow food and art materials. The property is adjacent to the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, so travel by train/bike is possible.

Algo más...
The Harlem Valley Rail Trail passes through the town (30 miles of paved biking trails). The train to New York City is 3 miles away and costs $19.50 or $26 depending on the time of day (2.5 hours each way). There are lots of art activities at Wassaic Project, which is 3 miles away and accessible by bike. The Appalachian Trail is a short drive away and I would be happy to pick up/drop off Workawayers who would like to hike before or after their stay. There are lots of excellent produce and dairy farms in the area.

I did gardening work and helped Christy with her art. The work itself was fun, and Christy was there if I needed help with anything.
Other than that we went swimming almost every day (in a beautiful quarry and in some waterfalls!), And I got to go on the… read more
