  We are Lara & Diego, a young couple wishing to take care of our land and enjoying living in a "compostable" house (wood structure, straw bale walls and natural plasters) we built last year thanks to you all! We still need to finish plastering the outside facade and improving the garden ☀️

  We had the amazing chance to welcome about 20 Workawayers last summer
  
  are quite experienced in traveling abroad and meeting new people :)
  🧞 Lara did a 2 years world tour volunteering for sustainable food NGOs
  🦸 Diego stayed 2 years travel-working in Australia and comes from Belgium & Chili!
  What we have in common: South America! 🤩
  
  We already had the chance to welcome about 20 workawayers, thanks to each one of them our project advanced a looooooooooot 🫶
  
  Can't wait to travel again through you!!

  Ajuda

  1) ECO CONSTRUCTION / BIO HOUSE / GREEN BUILDING
  
  TO DO :
  - Outside natural plasters : 2nd layer (mix of clay + hay + straw + sand + soil + water) and a mural fresco if you feel like!
  - Move soil up to the roof & plant
  - Drill the wood for the future bookshelves
  
  ✓ DONE :
  - Gravel-tyre foundations
  - Timber structure & straw-bale walls
  - Roof framing & insulation (sheep whool)
  - Windows & doors
  - EPDM green roof & plants
  - Plumbing & solar electricity
  - Inside plasters (3 layers) & paints
  - Flooring & partition
  - Wood stove & interior fittings
  - Outside plasters (1 layer)
  
  
  2) GARDENING
  
  You'll have to:
  - Clean out the irrigation channels (brush cutter)
  - Clear the land of undergrowth (strimmer)
  - Mulch the trees
  - Water the plants
  - Strengthen fences and gate
  - Move stones to fill in holes in the path
  - Improve the outdoor chill-out area... 🌻
  And loooots of other little DIYs! 🤗
  
  👉 The exchange is based on a 4,5 hours of help 5 days/week, usually from 9 AM to 1.30-2 PM with a break in the morning & then lunch together when possible :)

  We are French & Spanish natives and speak English very well!

  Acomodação

  🛏️ We provide accommodation into a mini-tiny-house: our lovely roulotte has 1 large double bed, and outdoor dry toilets.
  
  ⛺️ It is located on a rootsy plot with solar electricity, water access, solar shower and dry toilets. We provide a camping gas and all the food you like :)
  Far away and close to everything at the same time: in a rural area close to tourist areas
  
  👉 You need to enjoy living outdoors, close to nature, and be able to put up with minimalist conditions: the plot is cosy and rootsy at the same time, only for people ready for an off-grid experience!
  
  🍲 We offer 3 meals/ingredients, mostly veggie & we usually lunch together (except the week-ends).
  
  We live in next village and come daily at the plot :)

  Lara grew up in the surrounding area and can offer you different activities nearby, particularly on the coast (she works - pottery shop - and has family in Collioure, most beautiful village ever) but also on the Albères side 🌅
  
  We are about 15min walking from the village, 25min away from the beaches riding a bike (we can provide 2) and same for the mountains:) (15min by car) 🏞️
