Description
I am a biologist, have a husband (Spanish) and a 20 year old daughter (she is doing very well in an apprentice being a mechatronicerian).
On the 1 hectare farm I have seven donkeys, one horse, ducks and chickens.
The village of Rötlein is located in Hohenlohe near Dinkelsbühl and Rothenburg ob der Tauber in a state-approved local recreation area with countless ponds. There are many mills, farms and interesting people here.
We are looking for a couple, two good friends, or one person who would like to stay on our donkey farm for at least two weeks. We prefer people who are passionate about nature and enjoy physical labor, as farm work is very strenuous. Tasks include feeding the animals hay and straw, filling sandbags, repairing wooden fences, doing crafts, planting, and hiking with donkeys.
We can offer rooms in our guest apartment. A second space is available in the camp van. It's even big enough for two people who get along well.
We usually share mealtimes together. We divide mealtime tasks (planning, cooking) between us. I organize the shopping.
The tasks and working hours can be agreed individually.

Ich bin Biologin, habe einen Ehemann (Spanier) und eine 20-jährige Tochter (sie macht sich ganz gut in einer Ausbildung zur Mechatronikerin).
Auf dem 1 Hektar großen Bauernhof habe ich sieben Esel, ein Pferd, Enten und Hühner.
Das Dorf Rötlein liegt in Hohenlohe nahe Dinkelsbühl und Rothenburg ob der Tauber in einem staatlich anerkannten Naherholungsgebiet mit unzähligen Teichen. Hier gibt es viele Mühlen, Bauernhöfe und interessante Menschen.
Wir suchen ein Paar, zwei gute Freunde oder eine Person, die für mindestens 2 Wochen auf unserer Esel Farm bleiben möchten. Wir bevorzugen Menschen, die sich für die Natur begeistern können und gerne körperlich arbeiten, da die Arbeit auf dem Hof sehr anstrengend ist. Die Aufgaben sind z.B. Tiere mit Heu und Stroh füttern, Sandsäcke füllen, Holzzäune reparieren, handwerkliche Arbeiten, pflanzen, wandern mit Eseln.
Essenszeiten werden meist zusammen geteilt. Aufgaben für die Verpflegung (Planung, Kochen) teilen wir uns untereinander auf. Der Einkauf wird von mir organisiert.
Wir können Zimmer in unserer Gästewohnung anbieten. Ein zweiter Platz ist im Wohnmobil vorhanden. Er ist sogar groß genug für zwei Personen, die sich gut verstehen.
Die Aufgaben und Arbeitszeiten können individuell vereinbart werden.

Learning to be on a farm and with donkeys

We are looking for a couple, two good friends ore one person to stay for at least 2 weeks on our donkey farm. We prefer people who are enthusiasted in nature and likes physical efforts as farm tasks are exhausting. The tasks are e.g. feeding animals with hay and straw, filling sand bags, repairing wooden fences, doing hand crafts, planting, hiking with donkeys.
Depending on season and actual need and your knowledge and talent you can choose and propose the tasks you would like to do

we have a flat with WiFi available it is possible to come with a female dog families with older kids (6 years and older), three bed rooms (7 beds) available.

In winter we offer a flat with one sleeping room and kitchen, own bathroom, toilet. In spring, autumn or summer: There is a campervan for one person or a couple available, also space for own campervans.

We accept cats and have space available as we care for cats when people go abroad. We also accept female dogs as we have a male on the farm. The dog can be kept in the flat. The cats can be kept in the cat houses.
