Lotte and Torben are fantastic and very experienced hosts. They are knowledgeable, thoughtful, and fun to be around. The way they go about the daily work and take care of their garden is very well thought out and organized with a lot of care and attention.

harvesting, washing and cutting leeks before freezing, fixing willow fences, creating a flower bed, shredding, weeding, … and contribute to the “socialization” of lovely chicks :)
Each activity was well prepared and explained, with great quality tools.
The tiny house is very comfortable and well equipped, with a view on the magnificent sunsets !
We had lots of good chats with them and Annette, often while enjoying meals prepared with ingredients from the kitchen garden. All the vegetables and preparations were delicious.
We had very easy access to buses, beach and harbour thanks to the bikes. They helped us plan hikes that led us to truly spectacular views.
We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time here

I stayed at Lotte's and Torben's place for 10 days with Sophia. My time there was amazing, we could chose our own time scheduel and so we worked in the morning till lunch and had the afternoon off to explore and enjoy the calmness of the island. We did various tasks and so it was always something new to do wich made it exciting. They are very nice
… read more people and always make sure we had everything we need and invited us for dinner a few times which was delicious. There is this nice calm atmosphere that I will miss very much. I defenitly recommend going to this place.

I volunteered here for ten days in March and had a fantastic experience. The work involved mostly weeding and working with soil and we always got all the equipment we needed. We worked 5 hours per day with the flexibility to choose our own schedule. Lotte, Torben and Anette were super nice and welcoming. We often worked alongside Lotte who
… read more explained everything well, and was always available for questions. She gave us a lot of insights into gardening and the reasons behind each task. We also got nice travel recommendations and even got to borrow bikes to explore the area. Accommodation was amazing too. It's a beautiful tiny house with your own kitchen and bathroom. Food was fully provided, and we shared some delicious evening meals. Overall, a great experience and the ducks, cats and chicken were super cute too! I would definitely recommend it!Comentário

Ólína and Dmytro are both very hard working, easy going, kind and down-to-earth. They never complained (not even about the hail and the rain - people from Island are tough!) and they went on with any task we presented to them with energy and enthusiasm. They were supposed to stay with us for two weeks, but they were such a great help, that we
… read more decided to keep them for another week. And then for another week - so they ended up staying with us for a month. We talked about simply just adopting them, that's how much we enjoyed having them around :-)

We appreciated working with proper tools and having access to clean gloves, knee protectors, and rain gear when needed. Together with good preparations and clear instructions, it was very pleasant working on their ongoing projects. Annette, Lotte's mom, was always there to help or answer questions when Lotte and Torben were not around. Our jobs this time of year included seed and flowerbed preparations, planting, painting, and helping set up the pathways in the mandala garden.
For us, the stay at Lotte and Torben's was the perfect balance between working efficiently, spending time together, and doing our own thing. Sarah & Tom stayed with us for three weeks during early spring 2024 and they were a pleasure to host.
They would get on with the various tasks in good spirit and with no complaints, and it was nice to observe how eager they were to learn new skills. They helped us out with a number of different things, i.e. whitewashing the chicken house and
… read more splitting wood, making wood chips, shoveling manure, and sorting compost, weeding, and planting. No matter if it rained or the sun was shining, they would both be ready on time and get on with the tasks of the day.
It was also a great joy to witness their deep interest in both the environment, nature in general, and birdlife in particular - this young couple indeed share many of our own values and we'll happily recommend them as volunteers anytime.

… read more wouldn't be doing the same thing every day, and they were always careful about our well-being during work. They provided boots, gloves, waterproof clothing, and even lent us bicycles so we could fully enjoy the surroundings! The farm is just great with so many incredible projects; it's good for biodiversity and creativity. You won't find places like this everywhere.
It's a 15-minute walk from the sea, and the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. We easily visited Copenhagen, and they were really flexible about the work and hours.
We learned a lot about Denmark during the meals we shared together, and we even went to the sauna and the 0-degree water with Lotte! They also understand very well if you want to have time alone to do your own activities.
If I can recommend something, go and try it; it's an amazing experience, and you won't regret it if you like to work outside. They are amazing people, and we hope that if we have some holidays again, we can come back to see the gardens with all the flowers!

Lotte, Torben and Annette's place was our first workaway this winter and it was absolutely great!
They had a fully equipped tiny home exclusively for us to use, nothing missed!
Before starting everyday we were always asked how we slept and how we were feeling and that to us showed genuine care.
We had a variety of tasks to chose from daily based
… read more on the weather and also our mood. The tasks went from pruning plants in the vegetable garden, moving pruned branches to a designated area, clearing out a messy blackberry patch, splitting wood (very fun!!) but also cooking family meals to store in the freezer for the family.
They were always open to clarifications and would nicely explain the task again.
The family was always greeting but also respectful of personal space by limiting social time, it's something we appreciated.
On the weekends we were invited to go visit the beautiful Christmas markets they were participating in. That was a truly lovely experience!
We shared dinners together and the food was always plenty and accompanied by good meaningful conversations with these beautiful humans!
There was not a day where Anette's pointy red hat made us smile!!

JJ & Asia have been an absolute delight as volunteers. They stayed with us during the winter and we had to adjust our planned tasks quite a bit due to heavy snowfall, but the girls took everything in good spirit and were able to get a lot of stuff done despite of the weather. Never once did they complain and they spread so much joy - we were sad

One rainy day they were asked to cook (to put ready made meals in our freezer, which is a great help to us) and they did great also in this field. They literally created five big pots of yummy vegan meals in one day.
They are kind, easygoing, curious, willing to learn, not affraid to get their hands dirty, great with animals, and overall just really sweet people. We will recommend them as workawayers anytime!!!
Oh, and their English skills are through the roof. No misunderstandings whatsoever.
Katie and Luke is a very sweet couple, easygoing and a joy to have as volunteers. All communication went smoothly and we enjoyed having them here. They may be young, but what they lack in experience they make up for in willingness to learn and they managed all their tasks to our full satisfaction. We would recommend them as workawayers anytime.

Their farm is a really unique and beautiful place to be - we were impressed by their innovation and hard work!
