Descrição
Hi, we are Wilma from the Netherlands and Franco, a real tico (as they call the costaricans), looking for some extra pair of hands to help us out on our camp/glampsite in Costa Rica.
At the moment we could use a couple (or 2 friends) to help us mainly with gardening.
Raking the area, take away fallen coconuts and plant some palmtrees.
We are building a treehouse, so some help with that would also be nice!
The work is simple (you don't need experience), but in the heat of the sun it can be heavy. And you will get dirty!
But you'll only be working 4 hours a day, afterwards you can relax on the beach!
Our place is located in a jungle area, at just 2km from the centre of Paquera and at 20 minutes hiking from a beautiful beach. On the campsite you're surrounded by nature. Palmtrees (yes, you can open your own coconut!), monkeys (they'll wake you up in the morning), squirrels, colourful birds and fresh air!
It is relaxing, although there is always a lot to do:) Our volunteers sleep in the accomodations that are not ready yet to rent to tourists. At the campsite there's a shared outdoor kitchen and a shared bathroom with ecological waterless nature toilets and bamboo cold water showers.
In the village you'll find some restaurants, supermarkets and a bakery. On the beach it is nice to relax. On free days, you can take a tour to isla Tortuga or do the bioluminescence night kayaking. Paquera Bay is famous for its bioluminescense year round. From Paquera it is easy to visit Tambor, Santa Teresa and Montezuma. All famous for their beaches and Montezuma also because of the waterfall. Activities in the surroundings: Hiking, horsebackriding, boattour, kayaking, fishing, visiting Curu national park. By ferry you can visit Puntarenas to go shopping.Tipos de ajuda e oportunidades de aprendizado

In exchange for 4 hours volunteering per day, 5 days a week, we offer free accomodation with use of the shared outdoor kitchen, with free coffee and tea facilities. You can use our bicycles to go to the centre. The campsite is near the beach which you can visit. During your time here, you will enjoy the real Costa Rica. It will be a combination of volunteering and holiday. There is no wifi on the campground, but you'll find a better connection! If you truly love nature, campfires and being out in the open, this is your place.

We are looking for a couple (2 friends) who want to help us with mainly gardening. Raking leafes together, cleaning the campsite, planting some palmtrees, etc.
We have some glamping tents that could need some maintenance (cleaning/painting). And we're building a treehouse. A helping hand there would also be welcome, to get the materials up in the tree! As well as some painting here and there. On our campsite there's always a lot to do! If you have some skills that you think we can use, let's hear!Idiomas

You will stay in an accomodation that is not yet ready to rent to tourists. At the moment that's in our skoolie. We are transforming an old schoolbus into an accomodation. It already has a bed and electricity. It looks nice, but it's still not 100% ready to rent it out. So we 're using it now to accomodate our volunteers. It has a comfortable double bed. You'll have the wole bus, you don't share it with others! At 35 meters from the bus you'll find the shared bathroom. There are bamboo cold water showers and ecological waterless nature toilets. There's also a shared outdoor kitchen that you can use. It has a gas stove, pots and pans, a coffeemaker, a kettle, plates, mugs, cutlery, etc. You can enjoy free coffee and tea. The rest is up to you! At the bus you have a mini fridge.

We are very happy to work with volunteers. We have had people from all over the world, coming to help us while enjoying their time in Costa Rica. During Corona we were in a difficult position. With the amazing help of volunteers, mainly workawayers, we found the energy to move on again. We're grateful and we highly appreciate you're choice to volunteer! Thank you!!
If you like to combine volunteer work and vacation, Paquera is the place to be. With its nature and its beaches it is really relaxing! Paquera has some nice restaurants for you to enjoy. You can reach Paquera from Puntarenas by ferry. The ferry ride is really nice. It takes 70 minutes and costs less then 2 USD.Mais alguns detalhes

They helped us out on our campsite in Costa Rica. They did some cleaning, maintainance and gardening.
Beside the fact that they are very nice to work with, they are very respectful and the best cooks ever!!
These are the volunteers that you don't want them to leave. We recommend them 100%.

Now, with two months of delay: thank you very much for this special experience
Thanks for being with us! Wishing you a lot of nice workaway places for the future!
Being there as a workawayer, I felt a part of the family. The way that both, Wilma and Franco as well as their son took me in was so loving!

Nils is a great person and a great workawayer. He helped us with a lot of things. Heavy work, like carrying teakwood poles and preparing roofplates. And he also showed us that he's a great cook!
