I spent a week with Julien in the mountains and felt very comfortable. He is an friendly guy who likes to show you how to use different tools for working with wood and is open to hiking to explore the beautiful area. I had a great time, thank you!

Thanks to Lisanne for her help during those days, could finish some work that I would'nt beeing alone, she also cook some nice vegetarian food and drive a cool van, I definetly recommand her

I had a very nice stay at Juliens wonderful Place in the Mountains, he is a very nice calm guy, who respects privacy but is also down to do activities like cooking and hiking.
The work varied from plastering Walls to small reparations arround the House and was very managable.

Leo has been helping me for a week , we did work on the wall, picking it , and pointing it, cleaning paths and old walls.
Very hardworking and agreeable to be with , I recommend him without hesitation!

Thes is a really nice and easy going person, bringing good vibes! She's a quick learner and we've been working on updating the wood shed, we did some pointing on the wall and cooked some good food . I recommend her 100%

I had such a good and chill time at Juliens! Julien is a very kind and relaxed Person. I had fun to help him out, i could learn a lot and could tried new things out. In my free time, I went for a few hikes, and what should I say, the nature around the house is just amazing!
In the evening we made often a fire (it was little rainy) and cooked
… read more together. It was a clam and funny time. Thanks for this experience!

Estuve una semana en casa de Julián a principios de abril, fue mi primera experiencia en WorkAway y para mi fue genial. El tiempo era diferente cada día, hizo viento, lluvia y sol. Hicimos trabajos variados como limpiar una cuadra de paja y tierra, tirar un muro, mover escombros a sacos, sacar hierbas del huerto y alrededores, pusimos un alambre
… read more en una valla, plantamos árboles y judías en el huerto. Los ratos y días libres fueron muy agradables. La casa está en proceso de ser reformada, alejada del pueblo, en medio de las montañas y prados, en un lugar precioso y muy tranquilo. Cocinamos los dos juntos y pasamos muchos ratos tranquilos en compañía, también visitamos a algún vecino cercano. Julian me dio toda libertad en mis ratos libres, y también fuimos de excursión arriba de las montañas y visitamos otros lugares de Asturias que me hacía ilusión conocer, me encantó. Julián fue muy buen host, tuvimos buena comunicación y consideración; recomendaría a todos que buscan una experiencia corta pero en un lugar muy tranquilo ir a visitarle.

I had a good first workaway experience with Julien. When I arrived, Julien picked me up from the trainstation, which I really appreciated. I enjoyed, that Julien is respectful and leaves you, your own space. We also went to a bar and talked with poeple coming from the village, it was interesting listening to the accent of asturian poeple. Julien lives in paradise. During the day you can see the beautiful mountains and during the night the sky and stars, hearing the cows, birds, deer and crickets.
The work was really rewarding and chill, we cleaned the stone walls and start doing the mortar for them. We also planted some native trees and cooked meals.

… read more cold beer and conversation overlooking the mountains, going to see the neighbours, and also went to the nearby village.
Working alongside Julien was a very good experience, as he has lots of knowledge and determination with a very inspiring story of travelling and being self sufficient.
I got to practice my french a bit, and I'm really grateful for the time I spent here.

Had a great week's stay at Julian's near Tozo.
