Had a very nice time with Jan and Marlies. They are enthusiastic workers, considerate guests, and great company. Highly recommended.

Bert,Lindy and Luka were very nice. They are a warm family. We could sleep in there beautiful lodge. They made us very good meals. They showed us around, took us for a coffee in town and iceskating. We had lots of cozy evenings on the fireplace. Once we went to the cinema together. The work was fair and easy. We really recommended them.

Tyler was great. He has a peaceful quiet manner and just goes about his work quietly and independently with no fuss. Highly recommended. Jobs included painting garage floor, replacing timber decking and cooking,

We really enjoyed staying at the lodge with Lindy, Bert and Luca! We valued their true appreciation for having us, and how they treat you as a fellow traveler. Bert and Lindy are wonderful, and they always pay attention and want to be there for you. We enjoyed helping out, and never really felt like we where working. We could do our own schedule

Valentino and Sofie were awesome. They stayed with us for 2 weeks helping with various jobs include plastering and painting preparation, starting a herb gardening, cleaning down the house, cleaning spouting and lots of other winter prep jobs. They treated this work like it was their own property and nothing was a problem. Luka our dog loved their

… read more plenty of time to explore beautiful Methven and it's surroundings while taking Luka for a walk and we really appreciated that Bert and Lindy took us to different sight seeing spots in the area. Everybody took turns in cooking dinner and we enjoyed the yummy meals and good conversations. We wish we could have stayed longer! Connie and Yves were great workawayers and lovely people who we would have loved to stay longer. Great communicators, hard and self-motivated workers, and just very nice people to have around. Highly recommended and sad to see them go (as was Luka our Hungarian Viszla)

Thanks Lindy and Bert for the opportunity to work and stay at your lodge! I spent 2 weeks in Methven and it was a very nice time. I did a variety of working tasks. It always depends on what has to be done. The work was very fair. What I really enjoyed were the meals. In the morning

… read more juice and selfmade bread. In the evening we had dinner together. Everyday another one of us 3 cooked. I really enjoyed the accompany of them, they are very nice openminded people and have some interesting stories of their travels around Europe and Australia.
Methven is a quiet place but there are 2 supermarkets, some bars, fuel station,... The view to the mountains is really nice. At my free days I went several times to the Mount Hutt Skifield which is close.

Bert and Lindy are AMAZING! We absolutely loved every second with them. The work was fun, the food was great and we really loved hanging out with them. Not only did we really enjoy their company, jokes and amazing space, but Methven has also completely stolen our hearts, and we are already planning on coming back. :)
