Laura warmly opened her home and her heart to me, making me feel part of the family. In addition to being a house full of art and culture, it has a wonderful garden surrounded by trees in a peaceful and quiet area of Ocean Shores, the A-Van where I slept is impeccable and welcoming. I stayed with Laura-Doe for a month and very much enjoyed it. The tasks were super varied and I helped out with everything from gardening and house cleaning to home renovation and house painting. I was given loads of trust and freedom to perform the tasks and try out different things. I stayed in an avan caravan parked just outside the house,
… read more which offered great privacy when needed. The avan is super cute and cozy. Laura-Doe is a welcoming host and has great stories to share.

This was an excellent experience. Laura Doe’s home is a bustling center of interesting people. There is always someone to talk to and they all are doing interesting things.
We slept in her Avan (very comfortable camper) and used the kitchen, living room and bathroom in the house. We took weekend trips to Byron Bay and Gold Coast and afternoon
… read more visits to local beaches, hiking trails and restaurants.
Laura Doe cooked lunch and provided ingredients for dinners we prepared ourselves. We enjoyed fresh produce from the garden nearly everyday.

I loved every minute I spent in Laura-Doe's little paradise! She's a really lovely and strong woman and made me feel very welcomed! I stayed at Laura-Doe's house for two weeks and my experience was 10/10. She is such an interesting person who you can learn a lot from, it was simply fascinating to listen to her. My experience here with Laura-Doe in Billinudgel has been quite a pleasant one. I love the peace that welcomes you here and the ambient sounds of nature that soothes the soul in the quiet nights.
