This was my first workaway experience and it was really great! The hosts, Myriam and Erik, are very kind! I stayed at their place for almost 2 weeks and would definitely have enjoyed to stay for longer! Me and the other volonteers got to join for dinner with their friends and got to try some typical german christmas food which was very tasty! I
… read more also got to come along to an event at a collective in the neighboring town. It was also very interesting to hear about the diversity work that they are doing!
I mostly helped out with cleaning and laundry, since it was during the winter months. The work was flexible and Myriam and Erik always made sure I was happy with what I had to do. I had a spacious room with a great view and a private bathroom with a shower. The location was really great, the area was very nice and it was easy to get to Berlin since there were bikes for volonteers to borrow.

Meabh was an amazing volunteer, brought great energy and was super reliable, modest and polite. Always ready to help and tackle any task with a smile. I highly recommend Meabh and would love to have Meabh back anytime!

My stay at Myriam and Erik’s was my first time as a workawayer and I have nothing but good things to say about the whole experience! They are both such kind, friendly and progressive people and they made me feel very welcomed! The location itself is very beautiful, next to forests with nice trails where I rode a bike that they lent me. I was also
… read more able to ride this bike to the nearest train station (takes about 10min) and visit Berlin on my days off! Even the work itself was enjoyable. I was able to learn lots of new skills as Erik and I did brick laying, plastering and painting! There is also a lot of cleaning and laundry to be done, as it is a very cool place where very interesting people come to stay! I was given a list of tasks to complete in the morning, which I really appreciated to have written down and I was able to often just go off and complete them myself, which I enjoyed. On other days, for bigger projects like with plastering, Erik and I worked together, these projects were quite fun! Myriam and Erik’s property is super cool with various people renting, volunteering and people booking stays! I had my own large room and bathroom (including a shower) with a lock and key. The food was also fantastic. They provided me with loads of healthy, organic, vegan food in the kitchen that I shared with a couple people renting and the people who booked stays. I also frequently had meals with them in their kitchen which were always really delicious! I highly, highly recommend Myriam and Erik as workaway hosts and I hope to come back again at a later date!! I had a great time and it was a great first Workaway experience!

I stayed at Myriam and Erik's lovely place for a week and a half. I stayed with my friends Paula and Ivan, and we had an incredible time.
At first, we didn't know what we would encounter there, but since the first instance, we felt at home. They adapted to our abilities and it looks like there is always something fun to do :) We started working
… read more on their garden and continued to accomplish different tasks around the house like cleaning and doing maintenance. We became amazed by their life project and the charming people we met there, thanks for letting us form a part of the Lü7.
From the bike rides to the magical times we spent under the rain in their garden, we miss every single moment we spent there.
Our rooms were big and I was surprised by the commodity they bringed to us having in mind we were three in the crew. We had all the space and privacy we needed. I would repeat this experience a hundred times.

One of my favourite things about the place is the location. Located in the countryside outside of Berlin. It’s a nice walk/cycle to the closest train station where you can hop on a direct train to Berlin. It’s a perfect contrast of country life and city life. Loved my time here and would definitely do it again.

I loved staying in Bad Belzig and I already miss it! I went there just for two weeks with no building experience and pretty much no idea about what I would find there...
I met some very inspiring and funny people and I had great adventures with them every day: the party at the lake, the concert, the bonfires and visiting Berlin!

There was always some time to chat, to have deep conversations and to watch movies :).
The place is very quiet (when the kids are sleeping) but it's just 1 hour by train from Berlin.
I learned a lot about building mostly thanks to Erik (even tho I'm pretty sure I drove him crazy by using his tools wrong).
The place is full of tasks to complete and you can really help in many different ways (they really appreciate good food ;)).
I'm very grateful about the whole experience, it was my first time as a workawayer but it sure won't be the last one!

I stayed 4 weeks at Miriams and Eriks place. They are great hosts. We, me and the other two workawayer were fully invoveld in the family live.
I liked my contact to the three kids.
We had many trips together. I was the first time in Berlin. There were wonderful bonfire evenings.
My duties were different and workable.
I can recommend the place.

My stay with Myriam, Erik and family was incredible! I'm so grateful for the friendships and memories. The pictures don't do it justice. It's a beautiful spot about a 20min bike ride from Bad Belzig and about an hour train ride to Berlin. The old building is so interesting. Had a brief two-weeks stay near Bad Belzig. Felt like a few months 🙂
Hence the project is rather in it's early stages, it is not quite yet an established community, so at the time of being, I'd say it was more of a cozy little family stay. But what was short in quantity, got compensated by the quality of our small group we had 🙂

The work and tasks were self-paced and matched with our interests and abilities. In my case, at that time, we just looked around and agreed with Eric, what could and should be done, without stress nor pressure. Even if it took me two hours to figure out an IKEA fridge 🙈
There are a few bikes and a well-connected bike lane outside the gate, although the train station is not too far away either for the city trips. We were anyways actively invited and included in activities and trips with the family & friends, from simple bonfire evenings to the the afro-rasta hangout place in Berlin 😁

Anton stayed for two weeks and finished enough work for two month. Besides that he is a really good cook and very responsible with everything. Fun to hang out, but also knows how to take time for his own (e.g. extensive bike rides). We called him the professional workawayer.

I took two weeks off from the office job to stay at Erik & Myriam's place. The experience is so much fun and surprisingly refreshing!

When I left, the huge event room we painted from scratch became the family's first flea market. The best part is, even though Erik & Myriam need to wake up at 7 am to change babies' diapers, they managed to living their ideal life, being very cool parents.

… read more have many clear ideas for the future. Because of this there are many things to do. Anyways, the work rythm is flexible and respectful of your capacities. It varies from day to day.
I took care of the household, for example I cleaned and cooked us our meals.
I also participated in the renovation of the house and I managed to help them with their moving houses and with selling old and unwanted items.
I liked how they always asked me for my feedback to know if I was happy in that working environment and with life in general.
My room was big and cozy. The location (an ancient farm, which was very fascinating) also contributed with my well-being during work. The place was truly magical, immersed in the countryside but at the same time close to Berlin. I really enjoyed the moments of peace and serenity as I read books and worked surrounded by nature.
