Hello,
My name is Monique, I'm 61 years old. I live alone since my last son left home.
I live in the countryside in a beautiful region, the Ardèche, which I love to help people discover.
I have a trailer that I rent out at weekends and during vacation periods, and I have a bit of land around my house, where I've created a small permaculture vegetable garden.
I was a social worker for many years and I love human contact.
Nowadays, I don't work and I spend a lot of time looking after my garden, tinkering and cooking. I also play music : I play in a small amateur band and take part in traditional music sessions (guitar and mandolin). I'm also learning the violin...
I also love to dance and take part in many folk dances.

Je m'appelle Monique, j'ai 61 ans. Je vis seule depuis le départ de mon dernier fils.
J'habite à la campagne dans une très belle région, l'Ardèche que j'adore faire découvrir.
J'ai une roulotte que je loue les week-end et pendant les périodes de vacances et j'ai un peu de terrain autour de ma maison, où j'ai créé un petit potager en permaculture.
J'ai été travailleuse sociale pendant de nombreuses années et j'aime le contact humain.
A l'heure actuelle, je ne travaille plus et je passe beaucoup de temps à m'occuper de mon jardin, à bricoler et à faire la cuisine. Je fais de la musique : je joue dans un petit groupe d'amateurs et je participe à des sessions de musique traditionnelle (guitare et mandoline). J'apprends aussi le violon... J'adore également danser et je participe à de nombreux bals folks

The region where I live is very beautiful and very touristy: there are many beautiful things to discover (beautiful villages, remarkable natural sites) and lots of sports activities to practice (hiking, kayaking, climbing, canyoning). From May, there are many cultural activities (festivals, concerts ...) that allow to discover many places and groups of music. Myself, I am passionate about traditional dance and music and I participate in many musical evenings.
I have a river not far from the house and which allows to swim.
La région où je vis est très belle et très touristique : il y a beaucoup de belles choses à découvrir (beaux villages, sites naturels remarquables) et plein d'activités sportives à pratiquer (randonnées, kayak, escalade, canyoning). A partir du mois de mai, il y a beaucoup d'activités culturelles (festivals, concerts...) qui permettent de découvrir plein d'endroits et de groupes de musique. Moi-même, je suis passionnée de danses et de musiques traditionnelles et je participe à de nombreuses soirées musicales.
J'ai une rivière pas loin de la maison et qui permet de se baigner.

I'm looking for nature-loving volunteers to help me with gardening and grounds maintenance. I also have a few odd jobs to do (painting...) and your skills would be most welcome!
I'm also interested in sharing musical moments if you're a musician, and in language exchanges to improve my English.

Acomodação
Depending on the time of year, I can offer either totally independent and original accommodation: a comfortable caravan, or a room in my house, when the caravan is rented out (often at weekends and during school vacations). I can accommodate two volunteers or a couple.

Je peux offrir comme hébergement ,suivant la période de l'année, soit un logement totalement indépendant et original : une roulotte tout confort, soit une chambre dans ma maison, lorsque la roulotte est louée (souvent le week-end et pendant les vacances scolaires). Je peux accueillir deux volontaires ou un couple.

I can get to my home by public transport. I provide volunteers with an electric bike for short trips.
Volunteers who have not been vaccinated against COVID 19 are welcome to come and stay with me!
Les transports en commun permettent d'arriver jusque chez moi. Je met à disposition des volontaires un vélo électrique pour les petits déplacements.
Les volontaires non vaccinés contre le COVID 19 sont les bienvenus chez moi !
