I’m a smiley solo traveler from Hungary, who wants to get to know other cultures, meet new people, collect experiences in different countries - so practically explore the world.

I’m a very curious person, I’m interested in how the lifestyle is at a given place, country. I always intend to understand other people and cultures, different aspects, way of living and thinking and important values. I’m convinced that with every encounter and collaboration we became more.
That's why I want to volunteer to gain a better understanding of the life of a community, whether it's a farm, just one person or family, or even a whole staff of a hotel.

I’m new in this community, a new chapter in my life begins in 2025 after sitting many years in office. I worked as a team leader in the field of accountancy, so I have experience in how to cooperate and communicate with different people. I think I’m good with people, I have an optimistic and open personality, I’m helpful and a good listener. Besides I have a ‘structured’ mindset, I’m good at managing different things in an effective way.
Nature is very important to me, I grew up in the countryside so I have a little experience in growing plants. I started to teach yoga in Hungarian for people working at the office last year, and now I want to practise how to teach in English.

I think my most important skill is that I want and I’m able to learn.

Most important skill: ability to learn.

People related:
I’m a very patient and open minded person, helpful and a good listener. In general I think I’m good with people, I’m able to cooperate, I can handle different opinions, conflicts, communicate my thoughts and also understand the other party. (I do not have many experiences with children.) I’m also good at organizing the different tasks within a team.

Other skills:
- Household tasks (cooking, cleaning)

- Teaching yoga (beginners level)

Couple of experiences:
- I participated in the work of organizations dealing with homeless care in Hungary: practically cooking, distributing food, and doing different tasks in the daytime service. I learned that sometimes listening carefully, smiling, making eye contact could mean more than the food itself.
- As part of a program, I recruited volunteers for a mentor program and helped train them to become a mentor. We supported students from segregated areas of Hungary in their studies and everyday problems with online conversations. I learned not to take things (like piped water, power supply, heating etc.) for granted. I also understood that I can support someone by being present, available online even if they live in poor circumstances.
- As part of a community program, we built a community composter near my home, and I participated in a community project where we designed a street renovation. I learned that I can have an impact on the environment where I live.
