Hello! So nice that you found my profile! :)

My name is Atanas but I usually go by Ness.

I was born in western Bulgaria, in a small town famous for the hills with cherry tree orchards surrounding it. I'd say I had a pretty care free childhood - from spending time with my grandparents on their farm or vineyard each summer to later on having the amazing opportunity to visit my aunt in the US a handful of times and be able to see a completely different side of the world.

I think these two things pretty much shaped me into the person I am today - a small town kid with the ambition and need to travel and explore different places and cultures while trying to find his place in the big world.

I tried out a few different things after high school one of which was finishing a short 6-months culinary course since good food is a passion of mine. In 2019 I moved to Poland in order to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design. I am happy to say that I completed that chapter in 2022, I moved to The Netherlands and found my first job there. The Netherlands is also where I did my first volunteering program through WorkAway. I had a great time, I had to opportunity to meet people from all over the world and created a couple solid friendships. All of us volunteers used to help out at a nature playground for kids ages 5 to 13:)

Currently though, I am in between jobs and it just so happens that I have the possibility to travelI for a bit. I am hoping to find a host in Italy because this is the destination I've had on my mind for some time. It would be amazing to gain some new experience while exploring around.

I am a friendly and sociable person and I love meeting new people. I like to cook and have parties where we play board games, listen to good music and talk about various topics.

I like to work in a group. I am also a very hands on person. I am willing to do any kind of manual work and I have a pretty good track record with tools and such, haha. I always try to be as helpful as I possibly can. One of my mottoes is "If you want to pursue something, make sure you do your best. Otherwise why even try?" :)

Quais são suas habilidades?

I am just out of Art School, a month ago I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design.
I would love to help with any kind of construction work, DIY projects, carpentry, but not only.
I'm really into arts and crafts so I'd be super happy if I could get more experience there. I am someone who loves doing work with my hands, definitely not scared to roll up my sleeves and get dirty. Getting some new skills, especially when at the same time making something practical and productive is very rewarding for me. 😄
Cooking is a hobby of mine, it would be a pleasure to share some traditional Balkan recipes, and Polish ones too, since Poland has been my home for the past 4 years. I also have a good appreciation for coffee, I've worked as a barista for more than 2 years.
