Hi! We’re Giannis (29) and Dafni (27) from Greece—two curious souls who share a love for travel, connection, and meaningful experiences. We’re excited to meet our future Workaway friends and hosts around the world!

Giannis studied Education and Psychology and has spent the past years working with children in schools, special education settings, activity centers for people with disabilities, and inclusive summer camps. He also worked as a teacher in an immigrant shelter, where he connected with people from all over the world—an experience that deepened his appreciation for cultural exchange and different ways of life. He comes from an agricultural village in Greece, so he’s very familiar with physical work, farm life, and caring for animals. He enjoys teaching, learning, and helping wherever needed—whether that’s in the classroom, the kitchen, or the garden.
Giannis also has a strong creative side. He loves playing music, especially the piano, keyboards, and euphonium—an instrument he's played for many years. Music is one of the ways he connects with people and expresses himself. In his free time, he enjoys reading, swiming, climbing, and spending time by the sea, which he considers his natural element.

Dafni studied Pharmacy, with a special interest in pharmacognosy. She thrives in natural environments, whether it’s collecting herbs on mountain hikes or windsurfing in the sea.
She’s also passionate about photography, especially capturing people in meaningful moments and stunning landscapes. She's currently learning how to take more expressive portrait photos and is always on the lookout for places and faces that tell a story. She’s been actively developing her skills in social media management through her own small business—creating and promoting handmade macrame and jewelry online. Through that, she learned how to take eye-catching photos, create short videos, and build an online presence. Theatre is a big part of her life and a way she’s learned to better understand herself. She loves spontaneous adventures, outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and surfing, and believes nature—whether mountain or sea—is pure magic.

We both feel that the best way to experience a new place is through local connection—sharing stories, meals, and everyday life. We enjoy working as a team, adapting to new environments, and bringing positive energy wherever we go. Whether it's helping out on a farm, supporting guests in a hostel, teaching, gardening, cooking, or simply joining a community and giving back—we're excited to contribute.

We’re easygoing, respectful, curious, and always up for a new adventure. For us, Workaway is not just a way to travel—it's a way to grow, give, and live more deeply.

What we can help with:
We’re a versatile and hands-on team, happy to jump in wherever needed. Together, we bring experience in teaching, childcare, and special education, as well as gardening, farm work, and general help around the house or hostel.

Giannis is great with children, creative learning, and physical work, while Dafni brings her knowledge of medicinal plants, a strong connection to nature, and a love for photography, especially portraits in natural settings.

We both enjoy cooking, cleaning, and keeping a warm, welcoming environment. In our free time, we love hiking, climbing, windsurfing, making music, and sharing stories. Most of all, we love working with people and being part of meaningful cultural exchange.
