Hi, I’m Stefanie!

This year I finished my Master’s degree in Interior Architecture and now I’d like to take a break from desk work and city life. I miss being outdoors, working with my hands, and having a daily routine that feels more direct and real. That’s exactly what I want to make time for right now.
I enjoy being aware of my surroundings and actively taking part in shaping things. I like thinking things through, developing ideas, and finding solutions together with others. At the same time, I really enjoy hands-on work, I like to get involved, learn quickly, and I’m not afraid of physical work, whether it’s in a workshop, building, repairing, creating, or taking care of everyday tasks around a house or property.
I want to use this time to be closer to nature and myself, work creatively and practically, meet new people, and contribute my skills in a meaningful way. Community is especially important to me, taking responsibility, being reliable, and being part of something shared.

As a person, I’m open, communicative, and attentive. I’m a good listener and appreciate different ways of living. A respectful way of interacting is important to me, as well as mutual support, humor, and honest exchange. I enjoy practice yoga and am delighted to meet people who share this interest. I have been vegetarian for many years, but I do eat fish if there is no alternative. I absolutely love cooking for other people and hope to bring joy to everyone in this way. So if this would be part of my duties, that would be wonderful!

I’m planning to spend my Workaway time in Portugal and France. I’m especially looking forward to improving my French and really learning the language, as only the basics from school are still there.

Hi, ich bin Stefanie!

Dieses Jahr habe ich meinen Master in Innenarchitektur abgeschlossen und möchte mir nun eine Auszeit vom Schreibtisch und vom Stadtleben nehmen. Mir fehlt das Draußensein, das Arbeiten mit den Händen und ein Alltag, der sich direkter und echter anfühlt. Genau dafür möchte ich mir jetzt Zeit nehmen.
Ich mag es, meine Umgebung bewusst wahrzunehmen und Dinge aktiv mitzugestalten. Es macht mir Freude, mitzudenken, Ideen zu entwickeln und gemeinsam Lösungen zu finden. Gleichzeitig arbeite ich sehr gerne handwerklich, packe an, lerne schnell dazu und scheue mich nicht vor körperlicher Arbeit, egal ob in der Werkstatt, beim Bauen, Reparieren, Gestalten oder bei alltäglichen Aufgaben rund um Haus und Hof.
Ich möchte diese Zeit nutzen, um näher an der Natur zu sein, kreativ und praktisch zu arbeiten, neue Menschen kennenzulernen und meine Fähigkeiten sinnvoll einzubringen. Besonders wichtig ist mir dabei die Gemeinschaft, Verantwortung zu übernehmen, zuverlässig zu sein und Teil eines größeren Ganzen zu werden.
Als Mensch bin ich offen, kommunikativ und aufmerksam. Ich höre gut zu, schätze unterschiedliche Lebensentwürfe. Mir ist ein wertschätzender Umgang wichtig, ebenso wie gegenseitige Unterstützung, Humor und ein ehrlicher Austausch. Ich prakitziere gerne Yoga und freue mich über Menschen die das mit mir teilen. Ich lebe seit vielen Jahren vegetarisch, esse aber Fisch wenn es keine Alternative geben sollte. Ich koche unglaublich gerne für andere Menschen und hoffe jedem damit eine Freude bereiten zu können. Falls das also Teil meiner Aufgaben sein sollte, wäre das sogar sehr schön!
Geplant ist mein Aufenthalt in Portugal und Frankreich. Besonders freue ich mich darauf, meine Französischkenntnisse zu vertiefen und die Sprache wirklich zu lernen. Aktuell sind leider nur noch die Basics aus der Schulzeit vorhanden.
