Hi everyone! A little background about me first; I grew up on a farm in the south of Ireland, before moving to England, where I studied performance design for film and tv at BCU. After a few years in the UK, I decided to focus on travelling. I spent two years in Canada and Australia each and about 1.5 years in Japan. I am back in Ireland and looking to stay a little closer to home now I have one new nephew and another on the way!

I'm an outgoing person, I grew up with a big family and I was lucky to always have friends or other family around as well. My main objective through workaway is to connect to a local community. I don't want just "the tourist" experience. I want to meet people and share ideas and learn all I can about cultures and lifestyles that are different to mine. I think meeting new people helps you grow and appreciate what you have :)

I have a varied work history thanks to my travels, so I fit in with a lot of industries. I've been given extra responsibilities or promotions in every job I've held. I've had these opportunities because I'm a dedicated and enthusiastic worker, and I bring these qualities to any task I'm given.

I'm an avid hiker. I love the countryside and being around nature, so going up mountains and through forests is something I really enjoy. I'm an amateur photographer, to try capture the memories you know! I love art and while I haven't painted in years, I enjoy trips to museums and galleries. I love to cook and would like to learn new recipes. I spend time reading where I can and usually have music on in the background during my day. My family have games nights and I've continued this tradition on with each new group of friends I make. I do love anything social, but a good games night shows you people in a new way, no one can hide their competitiveness! I also love puzzles - just as long as they aren't too terribly hard.
