Hello! My name is Sophie I am 22 years old, from Sydney Australia. I am currently living in Rome studying Global Humanities, in my last year. I love workaway and the opportunities and experiences it has given me around the world!
I had 3 gap years previously, During these years I have worked in various jobs in hospitality and retail, lived in Turkey, Scotland, Greece, Spain and New Zealand, I studied Spanish in Barcelona and French in Montpellier, I have done some WWOOFING in NSW Australia, backpacked northern europe (also doing workaway in Sweden and Denmark). In 2023 I did some workaways in Italy , helping with gardening , art projects and more. I also volunteered at a hostel in Lecce for a month. I have experience teaching English here in Rome and hope to learn more languages along my travels. Last summer i spent 3 months in Colombia where i worked at an NGO with helping Venezuelan immigrants and 3 other workaways, a coffee farm, permaculture farm and at a hotel ! Learning Spanish is one of my biggest goals. I currently am doing a bio - sustainable online course and intern at a migrant centre in Rome, these are both my main areas of interest.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have lots of experience in hospitality, volunteering at a non profit vegan restaurant during high school and working at a cafe in the Coromandel of New Zealand. I have done farm work on two woofing farms these included: working on building a mud brick house, house keeping, cleaning, beekeeping, gardening, maintaining a horticulture and permaculture farm and some building experience . I have been a yoga studio receptionist and would love to begin a yoga teacher training certificate too. I study French and Spanish, I have studied these languages in Barcelona and Montpellier and would love to improve both these languages!
I can't wait to learn more! I painted a house in Sweden , as well as gardening responsibilities, I helped run a BnB in Denmark, cleaning , cooking and building projects. I worked in reception in a hostel in Italy for a month. I did a few workaways in Italy which worked with specifically mosiacing , gardening and some construction. I now tutor english in Rome.

I love to dance I've been dancing since i was three, I am super passionate about films, music , reading and art and enjoy these hobbies in my free time, I love yoga, I love nature and working within it, working on projects from art to carpentry, i love animals, food, adventures, the outdoors, the beach, meeting new people, but mostly i just love to travel it is my greatest passion.
