Hi dear Reader!
I am Saruby, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Göttingen, Germany. I am twenty-two years old.
I am a confident and curious person, and have been often ascribed to emanate a happy-go-lucky aura. My hobbies include listening to music, singing and writing. I also am a keen admirer of animated films, "Spirited Away" being my all-time favourite!
While in my day-to-day life I am mostly engrossed in my work, I always find spending time with nature quite relaxing. Everyday, small moments of gazing at sunshine lit-trees and a breath of fresh air help me in staying motivated and finding an anchor of peace. I would, therefore, like to spend more time with nature as a workawayer. During a workaway, one of my aims would also be to work on writing, since I wish to open a blog. Therefore being close to nature would be quite rejuvenating and inspiring to me as a budding writer!
Additionally, I am keen at cultivating my interest in gardening which began last year with caring for a few plants in my room. Therefore, I am also enthusiastic in learning gardening or farming as a skill.
As a workawayer, it would also bring me great joy to take care of pets. I was lucky to have the 13-year old companionship of my pet dog back in India, and therefore, I am always excited to interact with pets!
I am also extremely interested in learning the culture of Europe. Hence, I feel workaways would provide me the unique opportunity of observing and being a part of a European family :). I especially look forward to learning German, and I have already completed level A2 with regards to this pursuit. I also have professional proficiency in speaking and writing English, and I would be up for an exchange of learning languages!
Although I am not an amazing cook like some of my Indian friends, I do know how to cook some Indian vegetarian food and sweet dishes. So I would also be up for a food exchange with my fellow hosts.

2. Organizing events: I am good at hosting and organizing small-scale events; I recently lead the student team for organizing an Indian culture night for 300 people.

6. Singing: I was trained in Indian Classical Music for two years and I occasionally perform in small events.
