Hey dear fellow workawayers and hosts,

I am Sarah, made in Italy, living in Austria as I am studying Psychology and being a brisk, optimistic person to have nice (deep) talks with.

I believe in honesty and appreciation as the sources of successful communication. I believe in benevolence and in commitment to one another, in every part of life. I believe that we can care about each other as if we would be responsible for each other.

Now I often dream about a slow-life-stay in nature for some weeks. Especially the big city is a little bit too hectic for me. Singing, sports, hikes in nature, laughing and following spontaneous and creative ideas are some of the things that I could (and maybe should) do (more) all day long. On the other side of being energetic I think I have a good feeling for when someone would rather only exist without talking, love also being clouded in thoughts sometimes.

Doing an inspiring internship for some months I began to reflect on what I am currently waiting for in my life. I noticed one thing that made me the happiest in earlier years: camps and adventures, out of reach for my comfort zone, where I am somewhere new with inspiring people that all have different stories to tell from their lives. Coming from a naturebound area, I also have a very strong bond to nature, that I unfortunately neglected too much in recent years. But I am here now to fix that. I’d like to go back to the roots, learn every skill I could help with, get involved, appreciate nature and be appreciated benevolently by the hosts I'm allowed to live with. Coming from a small place where everyone needs to help in agriculture, I might have the right mindset.
Colombia was highly recommended from someone who got his consciousness in this country. He made me longing for an adventure in the green nature there!

I see this as the best opportunity to get out of my comfort zone again, to travel somewhere I’ve never been and to be somewhere alone again without knowing the people before but hopefully create some lasting friendships. Especially to find myself... And to do some physical work in contrast to sit in front of my laptop for the rest of the year :D

If you are looking for someone who doesn’t know much about carpeting and concrete, cannot lift 100 kg but is eager to learn all that stuff that is necessary, is not afraid to get dirty and muddy, even enjoys it, is happy about the progress with glowing cheeks, and is easy to motivate for almost everything. Then, dear hosts, I pretty surely will be a great match for you and will be very delighted to hear from you!

I'd like to learn Spanish (tried it twice with a language app, but never fully pulled through, as I never got to speak it) and am always interested to practice and still want to improve my English and Italian. Could teach you some German :)

Quais são suas habilidades?

Studying psychology, I surely can teach you some things regarding communication styles.
I love doing creative things, crafting DIYs, painting something, giving structure to a plan that was prior only in your head.
Like cooking Italian dishes (would love to improve my portfolio in cooking though).
Really love doing the dishes (almost everybody I know doesn't like it, but somehow I find it relaxing).
Tidying up, organizing, bringing a system into something.
Writing texts (especially in German, could still improve my English), gaining ideas for your social media, also like taking photos and videos (as an amateur that is eager to do it well).
Doing voice overs, speaking in general.
Communicating and making people feel welcome.
Teaching (German, Italian, English).

As I am still studying, I think my biggest strenght that could be of use is my eagerness to do work in a manner that someone is happy with it. And that I am very easily inspired!
