Hi there! I'm Ruth from the east coast of Canada!
My love for travel began when I was in middle school, and met my best friend from Germany. After meeting her I knew I needed to experience more of the world and I've continued doing that!
I first began with my Au Pair experience in Venice Italy, where I lived with an incredible family and cared for two lovely girls. I lived there for a total of a year and loved every moment of it! I used my free time to see Italy and a bit of Europe with other Au Pairs! It was so special to connect with my host family so well and really get a feel for local life in Venice!
More recently I did a backpacking and Workaway experience in Australia for three months, where I traveled along the east coast! That was my first time fully going solo and having that back packer lifestyle and I absolutely loved it!
I thrive in new environments and love meeting new people and learning about their cultures and passions! I've been so lucky to make really beautiful connections with so many lovely people I've met during my travels.
I really enjoy being able to be creative and use my hands. But also enjoy (which I know may sound strange) cleaning and organizing difference spaces, and having the satisfaction of transforming an area! Im not afraid to get my hands dirty! I grew up in the country with my two sister and parents who loved animals. So we always had a few cats and a dog around and from time to time a few chickens and pigs too. I've also been around horses my whole life and enjoy caring for them as well. Recently I've really taken a liking to gardening whether that be flowers or fruits and veggies.
Im so excited to be travelling to Europe and seeing more of what it has to offer!

I grew up in a French school so I am fluent with a bit of practice but am always looking to expand my vocabulary! I've started learning Italian for the past year and want to continue learning it and become fluent. Moreover I'm interested in learning any language that someone is whiling to help me learn!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I am a very clean and tidy person. I'm very good at organizing and cleaning spaces and have helped family members and friends in the past with that. I enjoy cooking and baking, as Im always teaching myself new recipes to try. I'm comfortable speaking with new people and making conversation. Ive worked with kids for the past three year involving tutoring, volunteering at a school and my au pair experience. I also enjoy interacting with pets since I had a family farm growing up and always had a few pets in my life. I also have a passion for tending to gardens and am ready to dive into any projects you have for me!
