Hello! I’m a 20 year old student living in Paris, originally from Turkey. This year I studied Linguistics at Sorbonne Université, but I realised that cinema is closer to what I want to do in the future.

My main goal with Workaway is to improve my spoken French while creating unforgettable memories. I can read and understand French quite well, but listening and speaking are still difficult for me, so I want to practise through real daily life and conversations.

I’m very interested in local French culture, gastronomy, history, and the different regions of France. I find France beautiful and inspiring because every place seems to have its own story, food, and atmosphere. Also, the word “culture” itself came into English through French, which shows how strong and influential French culture has been!

I love cinema, stories, meeting new people, walking around new places and learning about people’s lives. Since I want to become a filmmaker in the long run, I believe these experiences can give me a lot of inspiration.


Bonjour ! Je suis un étudiant de 20 ans vivant à Paris, originaire de Turquie. Cette année, j’ai étudié les Sciences du langage à Sorbonne Université, mais j’ai réalisé que le cinéma correspond davantage à ce que je veux faire dans le futur.

Mon objectif principal avec Workaway est d’améliorer mon français oral tout en créant des souvenirs inoubliables. Je peux assez bien lire et comprendre le français, mais l’écoute et l’expression orale restent difficiles pour moi. C’est pourquoi je veux pratiquer à travers la vie quotidienne et de vraies conversations.

Je m’intéresse beaucoup à la culture locale française, à la gastronomie, à l’histoire et aux différentes régions de France. Je trouve la France belle et inspirante, car chaque endroit semble avoir sa propre histoire, sa cuisine et son atmosphère. De plus, le mot “culture” est lui-même passé en anglais par le français, ce qui montre à quel point la culture française a été forte et influente !

J’aime le cinéma, les histoires, rencontrer de nouvelles personnes, me promener dans de nouveaux endroits et découvrir la vie des gens. Comme je souhaite devenir cinéaste à long terme, je pense que ces expériences peuvent m’apporter beaucoup d’inspiration.

I’m happy to help with whatever needs to be done and I’m very open-minded and eager to learn new skills. I can carry heavy bags, clean, cook, do the dishes, help with gardening and do similar tasks. I don’t have professional experience yet but I’m motivated, responsible and willing to learn.
