Hello, I’m Nicola! I really like to travel, meet new people and to explore. I´m studying social sciences in Cologne and I just finished my first year. Right now I´m on my summer break so i thought it´s a good idea to try out workaway. I am currently looking for a short stay in Barcelona and a 1-3 week stay in Montpellier, Marseille or another place in this beautiful region of france. I’d describe myself as a friendly and relaxed person that likes to laugh a lot. As soon as I get comfortable I can have a chat for hours but I need some time and space for myself as well. After school I’ve spent one year in Luxemburg as an Au Pair girl so I already have some experience with staying and working with (in the beginning) strangers and know how to respect this given opportunity :) I love to spend time in nature, listen to music, to do sports, dance and to cook and eat as well! Last year I did an internship for three months at a vegetable garden so I’d really like to find a host who needs help with gardening. Of course I’m interested in other works as well! I speak German, English and I´m learning French. I could help with German or English if you’d like to! I’m looking forward to my Workaway experience and I’m excited to get to know new people and gain new impressions. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

I’m planning on studying one semester in France next year so I’d like to improve my French! My level is currently A2/B1 but I don’t really have the habit of speaking so I’m grateful for this language exchange opportunity. I could teach some German or basic English

Quais são suas habilidades?

During my au pair stay I took care of two girls (5 and 8 years old) and enjoyed spending time with them. So I’d say I’m good with kids. ;) I taught them german and helped them during the lockdown with homeschooling so I have some experience in “teaching”. Besides that I have some basic gardening skills and of course I’m able to do tasks around the house like cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry and so on. If you need help with renovations I can say that I already painted some walls or put a shelf up on the wall. I like to work with my hands but don’t really have any specific skills concerning this. In general I’m a fast learner and like to help wherever I can!
