My name is Meg and I am from Wales. I am 23 years old and have lived in Canada for almost a year now. Over the winter, I spent my time working a ski season in a luxury hotel in Whistler.

Before moving across the pond to Canada, I spent 3 years in University studying Criminology and Criminal Justice. Alongside my degree, I worked in the customer service sector. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in university but decided it was time for a new and exciting adventure which is why I moved to Canada.

I love to ski, hike, swim and be surrounded by animals and nature. The past few months have been perfect to do so as my partner and I have been on a road trip across the country experiencing all that Canada’s wildlife has to offer.

I am a very enthusiastic and open minded person who is eager to get involved with hard work.

I have previously done a number of volunteer work, namely, renovating a school in India. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and have subsequently made friends for life! I am now looking for the opportunity to do so here in Canada.

My name is Julia (22) and I am from Germany.I have been living in Canada for over a year now and worked and lived in Victoria and Whistler. After having a great summer on Vancouver Island as a Barista I enjoyed my first Ski Season in the mountains working in a luxury hotel.

To fulfill my dreams here in Canada I went on a roadtrip from Nova Scotia to Alberta with my partner and enjoyed every single moment. I like seeing untouched parts of the world and I want to really dive deep to understand a place. I love the outdoors, being with animals and getting to know new people. I am a quick learner and open-minded for everything new!

I have experiences with living and travelling abroad, as I have done exchanges, I was an exchange student in England and France and now I am here in Canada to see even more.

Having spoken our native languages along side English since small children, we feel competent to pass our knowledge and skills on to those who are interested in learning a new language. We are also very interested in learning another language ourselves. Megan is in the process of learning German.

Quais são suas habilidades?

We are both fluent in our native languages - German and Welsh, as well as English.

We are able to help with daily chores around the house.

Megan has experience in teaching young children how to ski on a competitive level as well as learn to swim.

Julia also has extensive experience working alongside children, primarily in summer camps as well as on a weekly basis. Additionally, Julia was a tutor in school teaching a range of subjects to her peers.

Having worked a ski season in Whistler, we both have extensive experience working with tourists and working on the properties landscape.

Both of our family backgrounds are from a long line of farmers, which has given us an in depth knowledge and understanding of the day to day tasks undertaken on a farm.

We are both highly motivated individuals who put our all into each opportunity we are given. Additionally to this, we are very creative and hands on people who love to get stuck in with a new tasks.
