Heya, I'm Mark (28), currently enjoying my sabbatical :)

After finishing my Masters and working for 3 years as a sustainability consultant in Amsterdam, I decided it's time for something new. So I worked on eco-farms in the South of France for 3 months, which was super fun! Being outside in nature all-day, meeting lovely people from all over the world, doing hard manual labour and slowly becoming French were a fantastic experience. But I didn't quite have enough yet, so I'm continuing my work-and-travel in Morocco 🇲🇦☀️

Last time I was in Morocco was (literally) in '99. I don't remember much of it, but somehow felt the need to rediscover this lovely country. I absolutely love learning languages, so I hope to speak a decent level of Darija at the end of my trip.

Other things I'm looking forward to:
- Learning to cook local food and sharing my favourite recipes
- Having a whole-hearted laugh together
- Sharing ideas, skills, and memories with one another
- Playing music together
- Going on long hikes in nature
- Surfing
- Drawing comics
- Photography
- Sustainability, nature restoration and mindful ways of living with nature
- The desert!!

- One month of experience in traditional Moroccan mud brick eco-construction
- Six weeks AirBnB host experience
- Multiple teaching jobs, tutoring languages and science
- Really good with computers
- Passionate hobby cook
- Masters Degree in Biochemical Engineering (I'm good with maths)
- Sustainability professional for three years with focus on energy transition
- Quick to learn any new skills and routines
