Hello I'm Lauren. I'm 29 from Brighton, UK.

I've been travelling and working in Canada with my friend Amy since August 2024. We've been friends since we met at school aged 4. We came to Canada for an adventure before we turn 30 and become 'proper adults' ... perhaps we never will....

We completed a brilliant WorkAway together on Galiano Island, which we loved! We then did a 3 week roadtrip in the Rockies. I'm now in Vancouver, and Amy has headed back to the UK. I'm here initially until early December '24 and would be interested in workaways and housesitting opportunities in the wider Vancouver area.

I'm a working professional in the Theatre and Arts world. I've been in the industry for 10 years, working on countless exciting plays, projects and events. I studied at Central Saint Martins art school after completing training as an actor. I'm a freelancer, so I love changing what I'm doing every few weeks, meeting and learning from new people with different life experience to me, never staying still and rarely sitting down.

I have an adventurous spirit, love exploring the outdoors and connecting with people, nature and cultures different from my own.

I'm back in Canada after first visiting with my family in 2007. I fell in love with the beauty of Whistler and Vancouver Island in particular, alongside the adventurous side, having done white water rafting, river kayaking, zip trekking, whale and bear watching.

I'm a hard worker, love to socialise and learn new skills. I'd describe myself as an introverted-extrovert; I thrive in social scenarios but have to listen to my brain when it tells me I need to recharge my social battery.

I love being outdoors, on my feet, being creative. I have lots of experience working with animals, kids and older people. Whatever work opportunities you are providing - I'll throw myself right in fully.
