Hi! I’m Laura, a 28-year-old from Ireland with a big love for travel, community, and meaningful work.

I spent two years living in Vietnam, where I worked as a primary school teacher and absolutely fell in love with the culture, the people, and the experience of living abroad. After Vietnam, I travelled around Asia for four months, volunteering through Workaway. During that time, I gained hands-on experience in a variety of roles including cat and dog sitting, farm work, English teaching, and eco-friendly building projects. I loved the diversity of the work and getting to be part of so many different communities.

When I returned to Ireland, I worked in a crèche for a while, and although I enjoy working with children, I’ve realised the traditional 9–5 lifestyle isn’t for me. I’m happiest when I’m exploring the world, contributing to meaningful projects, and following the things that truly light me up. My real passion lies in living a life filled with connection, and exploration. This led me to pursue yoga more deeply, and I recently completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training — I’m now a certified yoga teacher and excited to share my practice with others.

I’m an adventurous person who loves meeting new people, learning new skills, and adapting to different ways of life. I’m reliable, open-minded, and always ready to lend a hand. I’d love to connect with hosts who value community, creativity, and positive energy. Looking forward to the next adventure!

I have never really been good at learning languages but it is a goal of mine to learn another language as I can only speak English. I learned French and Irish in school but know very little of language today. I’m always excited to learn from the people around me, so I’d be happy to practice and pick up a new language during my stay. I'd also be happy to teach other English as i have lots of experience in teaching English.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have 4 years’ experience working in hospitality. I have worked as a waitress in restaurants in Ireland and many other foods service jobs. I am very comfortable working with customers and other people. Hospitality has taught me many skills such as problem solving, multitasking, teamwork and time management.

I have 2 years teaching experience from my time in Vietnam. I enjoy working with and spending time with children. I’ve worked with a wide range of kids from the ages of 4-14 years old. I have two TEFL certificates which qualifies me to teach. From my 2 years of teaching, I have gained so many useful skills such as delivering fun, engaging lessons, effective communication, time management, interpersonal skills, organization and many more.

I have also volunteered in a dog shelter for 6 months in Ho Chi Minh City. I helped walk, feed and clean the dogs. I have a huge love for animals and love to be around them.

I am a highly adaptable, reliable and hard-working person and I am very eager to build on and learn new skills. I am hoping to develop more knowledge on the different skills I have choosen. I would like to explore other experiences and skills to maybe discover a new passion.

I really enjoy being out in nature and love to go hiking. I have recently started yoga and meditation and have been really enjoying it. I enjoy socialising with my friends and meeting new people.
I studied psychology and anthropology in college and have a keen interest in these subjects. I am hoping to return to college again one day to hopefully recieve a masters degree in psychology.
