We are an enthusiastic and mature couple from Canada and Ireland, who love meeting new people and learning about different ways of living. We recently took a break from our desk jobs in graphic design (Patrick) and radio producing (Laura) and are travelling for the next year. We would love to meet you!

This is our first Workaway experience, and we're really excited to try something new!

We are both hard workers who can learn quickly. We love working with kids and are currently working at an English school in Malta. We also have experience with animals, and would be happy to help out with your furry friends.

Both of us have big families, and know what it takes to keep a household running smoothly. We are both tidy and clean, and will help out wherever is needed.

Quais são suas habilidades?
We both have experience working with children and teaching English. We are currently working as live-in leaders, taking care of teenagers at an English summer school in Malta.

We have career backgrounds in graphic design (Patrick) and journalism and writing (Laura).

Patrick is skilled at handy work and fixing things. He has volunteer experience with building renovations, roadwork, painting, gardening, and farm work. He has put his skills to work at various camps in Ireland, volunteered in Thailand, and worked as a graphic designer in New York City and Toronto.

Laura worked for several years as a camp counsellor, looking after young children and leading games and activities. She also worked as a private music teacher, teaching clarinet to young kids. Laura has volunteer experience with community gardening, preparing food in homeless shelters and helping elders in need.

We both love animals and Patrick has a lot of experience with dogs and horses.

We are quick learners and are ready to get involved in any kind of project!

We had such a wonderful time here with Rita, Reggie, Fatima and Edmond! The hostel is beautiful -- so cozy, comfortable and squeaky clean. We loved exploring Prizren, it's a charming city with great hiking, delicious food (especially the Furra Jones bakery!!) and easy access to other parts of the region.

They were amazing volunteers. They were very helpful and responsible. Their tasks included housekeeping and doing check-outs in the morning. They were communicative with the staff. They were friendly and easy going. We would recommend them to any one who needs volunteers. We loved having them in the hostel. And we would them again any time.

Nigel was a brilliant host and we had a fantastic Workaway with him.
