My name is Amélie, most people call me may, I’m 21 from Austria grew up partly in the mountains party in the city
Asking biographical questions even at a very young age I'd say my first love in this world were stories: ancient stories, people's life memoirs,, superstition and the narratives that constitute history. To me, everything is language, a framework that expresses meaning. Maths is a language, the variety of plants the facial expression on people's faces in emotional moments, the patterns of the waves and the way cities are planned. I love movement and physicality in almost all forms, my mom is a classical Austrian mountain woman; I used to swim and now I hike, am embarrassingly I’m love with my vintagerace bike Blabla the classics So in that regard I'm excited about expanding in any direction you are passionate about. I'd love to reconnect to horses and pick-up horse-riding again. Dancing is of course an essential ;) I enjoy working with my hands and to see that you build something at the end of a process.
So all, in all I'd say I'm keen to learn and to just try to be a good scholar of the worlds lessons

Quais são suas habilidades?
I can speak English and German on a native speaker level as I studied in the UK and can do basic conversation in French. I am seeking to build on my very foundational Spanish I picked up on duolingo recently.
While in school I started a project to help homeless people in Oxford with friends where we collected leftover food from boarding schools and distributed that to the homeless while also building personal relationships that were so enriching and helping them get housing etc. The project ended up in the semi final of a UN competition and we had several cooperations with national NGOs and even Oxford University and we made sure it's going on now even after we left the school. https://www.globalsocialleaders.com/share-and-care-oxford/
I also partook in organising the OxFID conference for international development which took place at Oxford university and covered many fascinating topics like gender inequality in education globally etc.
I picked up a few electronics skills through my dad like soldering and milling but would need a few refreshers in that.
I like children a lot, they are more wise and honest than most adults and love to watch over them :) although it sometimes feels like their watching over me just as much and have some experience in babysitting and several younger cousins etc.
