  Hello Workawayers, we are Matthias and Aleks from Switzerland. We've build our dream Off-Grid-home on the island of Dominica. Located in the north of the island, one Mile above the quiet mountain Village Paix Bouche. Just around the corner from the Waitukubuli National Trail Segment 12. We have an abundance of Fruit tree and Veggies in the tropical garden. Surrounded by tropical rainforest, a small River with Pools in walking distance.

  Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado

  Traveller can benefit of a lush tropical garden in a remote valley, eat fruits (Avocado, Lime, Guavas, Pine Apples, Sour Sop and more) and veggies. Learn about the Caribbean village life and culture in a peaceful and friendly village of Paix Bouche. Check out the beaches of the northeast (20min) or just relax in a lush tropical paradise. Learn about small farming in the Caribbean its nature and people.

  Ajuda

  We are looking for a house/pet sitter who will take care of our three cats, the house and the veggie garden while we are in Europe. Traveller should be responsive (by What's App, Signal, Facebook or Mail) and willing to take good care of the cats. Should be willing to invest some hours a day maintaining the veggie garden and communicate with our worker but otherwise will have plenty time for their own. Farming / garden experience and love for cats is definitively a plus as well as craftsmanship with regard to the house. It is the hurricane season so a storm might be possible. Shelter for a major event would be available in the village. In such a (unlikely) case some preparations at the house would be expected. Since the house is approximately 5 minutes walking distance from the road downhill some level of physical fitness is required.

  Off Grid House about 5min away from a farm access road with 1 double bed (another bed could be improvised), outdoor kitchen with all necessities, fridge, freezer, internet (via mobile modem). Traveller should be more or less fit and interested in nature life. Fresh veggies from the garden, fruits from the garden, Food can be prepared in the fully equipped outdoor kitchen.

  There are plenty beaches close by and the Waitukubuli national trail passes just around the corner. Dominica is a tropical paradise with volcanic springs and a lush rainforest.
