Hey, I’m Kelsey! (or I also go by Kels) and it's been 5 years since I last traveled and used Workaway. Back in 2019 I traveled solo through parts of northern Europe for about 4 months and had two amazing Workaway experiences in that time. I had originally planned to go back the next year but the pandemic delayed all of my travel plans until now. I'm leaving in early July for another 3-4 month trip and am excited for the new experiences and connections that I might find again through Workaway.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have one year’s experience in teaching English to teenaged non-native speakers. I also tutored young kids with their English education for many years while I was in high school and university. Also, my first Workaway experience was volunteering at an English language immersion program in Poland back in 2019.

I’ve worked as a barista, in food service, and many customer service jobs — I know how help with most business related tasks, and one of my jobs included a lot of cleaning.

I don’t have much experience with the more physical work like building and farming, but I’ve always wanted to learn more of these life skills and can lend a hand to help with anything, even if it’s a novice hand.

I love hiking and spending time in nature. I played volleyball for around nine years and many other sports growing up. I’ve probably lost a lot of athletic ability as I’ve gotten older, but I’m always here for any games.

I’ve always had animals in my life and love all pets. I grew up around horses and learned how to ride when I was a kid, but I stopped being able to visit and keep riding when I was a teenager so I’ve unfortunately forgotten most of it.
