Hey! My name is Karolina. I’m a 31-year-old, openhearted girl from Poland. I am a script consultant and wanna-be script writer. I am also making a documentary movie with kids and this is a big challenge for me and such a beautiful adventure at the same time! I’m at the beginning of my road in the film industry, so to earn money I work in an art magazine and do marketing. It’s not something I am passionate about, but it’s good, safe, part time, I can work remotely and I really like the team I work with!

What I do for living is important, but it’s not everything. After a years of working hard and living in a big city I decide to start to live my dream life and no longer wait. At the beginning of the year, I got my driving license, and a few months later I bought a car (bye bye savings!). Then I move out to start my off-grid life. For the past few months, I have been traveling around Poland. I was sleeping in a tent, trekking, hiking, swimming (and showering) in lakes and rivers (and working in the meantime). I met so many beautiful people and discovered beautiful places I’d never been to before, cause it wasn’t easy to reach them without a car. That was an amizing adventure and I want to continue! As far as autumn slowly comes I won’t be able to sleep outside here in Poland, so I decide to spend autumn and winter abroad. First destination: Spain!

I'm still looking for my way of living this life and meeting other people and sharing time is the most beautiful way to figure things out. This is why I choose workaway.

Two years ago I did my first workaway travel. I met Ellie and Gijs and lived in a small village Azoia in Portugal for a month. That was a life-changing adventure, so I got back in a year to meet those beautiful people once again. This year I’ve met Elena and Avisha living in the natural reserve Cavagrande del Cassibile in Sicily and the way they share their hearts and place with others will stay with me forever.

Traveling makes me grow. I’ve never been more brave and open. I love to work with my hands, outside, in soil, with plants and animals. I’m not afraid of hard work, I am responsible. I want to learn, one day maybe I will be lucky to have my piece of land. I do care.

I love to listen and share stories. I read a lot, I like watching movies, I write. I enjoy ceramic a lot! Love to make the ugliest objects, just because I don’t care about perfection – just follows my hands. J I like cooking and eating good food. I eat vegetarian, but if someone prepares for me a meat meal I don’t refuse – I am grateful for the food and time spent to make it. I enjoy being in nature and like to move – swimming, running, trekking, hiking, riding a bike. I want to try surfing, diving, and sailing!

There are so many things I want to experience and so many places I want to see!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I'm an hardworking person who never turns down a challenge. I do care even if it's rocket scince to me!

I enjoy taking care of plants and animals. I love gardening and not have problems with carrying buckets around. :) I like to learn new things, I love to know what I am doing and why. I'm interested in permaculture and how live in harmony nature. Building and crafting are also welcome.

It would be pleasure to cook and bake for us and help around the house.

And sharing stories! :)
