My name is Kai and I’m trying my best to see as much of the world as I can! Studying abroad in college gave me the opportunity to travel outside of the US for the first time. After every trip, I felt my mind expand and my understanding of the world forever altered. Even outside of academic programs, traveling has always been a learning experience for me. Exposure to different cultures and approaches to life helps me better understand where I fit in the world. I love finding that connection is possible in places that seem crazy unfamiliar to me.
I have a degree in psychology and I’m passionate about different ways of healing. I’ve recently been learning about herbalism through working at an apothecary and would love to learn about local plant medicine and farming wherever I go.
I am very family oriented so living with host families has always been very special to me. In my family, food is a central part of gathering and expressing love. Naturally, trying the best local cuisine is a top priority. I love music and hearing new genres that I can replay when I return home. Dancing has always been a big part of my life and I cherish the opportunities I’ve had to learn styles from all over the world.

I speak English fluently and Spanish conversationally. I'm not afraid of tough manual labor, I grew up helping my mom around the house with renovation projects like construction and painting. I have experience doing yard work and love working with plants. I've done some social media and marketing work for non-profit organizations. My degree is in psychology and I have a special interest in elderly care. I have lots of experience in customer service and love working with people.
