Hi! I'm Julie, I come from the Czech Republic and I'm 19 years old. I'm new to this site, but I've been looking at a lot of projects in the past month and yesterday I finally did the commitment and paid for my Workaway subscription! I graduated high school this year and I'd like to challenge myself to go help out somewhere soon. :) Last summer I volunteered in Finland through Inex, a Czech organization. I helped out at a family home which organized events for the elderly and also child camps.
I have a lot of love for music, which motivates me to dance, mainly styles like hip hop, house and experimental. I like to travel and capture my experiences on my film camera so if I were to participate in your project I can guarantee some nice pictures! I'd like to get better at yoga and learn to surf properly. I'm extroverted but I also like to recharge by myself with a good book. :)

Quais são suas habilidades?

I'd say that one of my best skills is communication. I'm a social butterfly, I worked as a barista at many cafés, at one point I worked in a sales team in a second-hand shop, so I'm very used to approaching people. I currently work in a café which is also a part of a culture centre as a barista. :)
I volunteered in Finland in 2022, where I helped out to prepare a program for a kids camp and I looked after them. I also often cooked for a large group of people and helped in the kitchen - I love to cook btw!
Las summer I helped out in building an eco-village in Portugal, which was completely off grid and one of the best experiences I've had.
My mother tongue is Czech, but I often feel more comfortable expressing myself in English which I have at a C1 level. I'm also learning Spanish which I'd like to improve (I'm at a B1 level).
As a dancer, I sometimes teach kids to express themselves through dance and they are a big inspiration to me. I'm open to teaching anyone to dance! :)
