👋 About Us
We’re Julianna & Edward — a responsible, adaptable, and experienced couple looking for a minimum of 2 weeks and up to 1-2 month stay in Spain or Portugal in 2026. We have a homebase in Southern Spain (in Andalusia), but looking to explore other areas of Spain/Portugal. We are looking for a pet & housesitting opportunities or to gain experience in hands-on permaculture work.

🗓 Availability: January 2026 - February 2026 (2 months)
🌍 Location: Anywhere in Spain or Portugal, preferably along the coast
🐴 Animals: LOVE Dogs & Cats, Willing to learn farm animal care
💬 Languages: English (native), Spanish (fluent)

What We Offer
🐕Pet & House Sitting: We have extensive experience caring for cats, dogs, and small animals, including administering medications, maintaining routines, going for walks and providing companionship.
🏠Home Care: From plant watering to general upkeep, we treat every home like it’s our own — clean, tidy, and secure.
🌾Maintenance & Outdoor Work: Gardening/weeding, light DIY, and helping keep outdoor spaces organized and beautiful.
💬Communication & Organization: Skilled in scheduling, coordinating tasks, and maintaining clear, respectful communication with homeowners.
🌏Multicultural: Have watched homes, lands and gardens around the world including in U.S., Latin America and Europe we have extensive experience adapting and learning from new experiences.

* 10+ years traveling & living internationally (Latin America 5 years, Turkey, Spain, Nepal, Czech Republic, Ireland, U.S.)
* Experienced house sitter in multiple countries during the past 10+ years
* Background in hospitality, retreat centers, meditation, yoga and cooking for groups
* Skilled in organization, creative problem solving, strategy, tidying and caretaking roles

* British Citizen, Born and raised off grid in Spain
* 8+ years in Crossfit training
* Skilled in outdoor activities, fitness, and team-oriented projects
* Strong work ethic and practical skills in gardening, cleaning, and manual tasks
* Great with animals and attentive to their needs
* Positive, easygoing energy with a reliable approach to commitments

💻 Note: We both work remotely in our downtime, so we value a place with a stable internet connection.

* Experiencia en cuidado de casas en varios países durante los últimos 10+ años
* Trayectoria en hospitalidad, centros de retiro, meditación, yoga y cocina para grupos
* Habilidades en organización, resolución creativa de problemas, estrategia, orden y roles de cuidado
* Tranquila, respetuosa y adaptable — trabajo bien de manera independiente o en equipo

Sobre Ed(ward)
* Ciudadano británico, nacido y criado fuera de la red en España
* 8+ años en entrenamiento de CrossFit
* Habilidades en actividades al aire libre, fitness y proyectos en equipo
* Gran ética de trabajo y destrezas prácticas en jardinería, limpieza y tareas manuales
* Excelente con los animales y atento a sus necesidades
* Energía positiva, relajada y con un enfoque confiable hacia los compromisos

💻 Nota: Ambos trabajamos en remoto en nuestro tiempo libre, por lo que valoramos un lugar con buena conexión a internet.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Ed grew up in southern Spain on a mountain peak, living off grid. He's trained in crossfit for 8 years before deciding to bridge his skillset between physical and manual labor and open the doors for more travel. Julianna started off pet sitting in her hometown in Wisconsin after growing up with 4 Great Danes and 3 Siamese cats, but when she moved out 10 years ago, she started traveling across the U.S. for nature adventures and rock climbing and began house and pet sitting across California, Oregon, Washington. Eventually, she moved out of the country, traveling through Latin America and began watching larger homes and gardens while living in Ecuador for 4 years. Now with both of them in Europe, we are looking for mutual house and pet sitting exchanges where we can continue to learn and build our skills, resources and enjoyment of visiting new cultures while working online.

We are very open and always excited to learn new things. We look for mutual engagements where we can learn what needs to be done and then find a rhythm that gives us space to live independently and grow in our autonomy in a new culture. We have personal online projects we also work on, so we prefer the stability of staying in places anywhere from 1 - 3 months (2 weeks is our minimum). We are good at managing ourselves and keeping in clear, direct and honest communication with our hosts, shifting along the way anything that needs to adjust for a mutually beneficial exchange.
