My partner and I have taken a break from our Sydney life where we work and live to travel the world for one year! We’re the kind of people who enjoy not knowing where we will be or what we will be doing in the future. We go with the flow and are guided by our stomachs (we love food) and good people.

We’ve moved our way from home in Australia to a few countries in South East Asia, over to the UK, a short stop in Iceland, and are now in Ireland before heading to Western Europe.

We’re hoping to do some workaways on our adventure so we can meet good people and learn some new skills. We’re generally up for anything. Josh in particular loves to cook and learn how to improve hs skills in the kitchen. He loves all sports and outdoor activities, particularly anything in the water. He enjoys martial arts and recently got to go and train Muay Thai in Thailand!

Kate loves to both learn and teach. She’s a real book-worm, and loves a hearty discussion on history, culture or politics. While neither of us speak another language, we are hoping to add some proficiency in other languages to our repertoires.

We are an open book, so please ask us any questions you might have!

We have always said that one day we will learn other languages but just haven’t found the time yet in our lives back home. We don’t have a preference for any particular language but love the idea of starting our learning with a local!

Quais são suas habilidades?

We both work in politics and advocacy based roles in Australia. We are both university graduates with Bachelor degrees in Journalism (Josh) and Arts (Kate). We are both skilled in research, writing and verbal communication.

For many years while studying, Josh taught children and adults how to swim. This is something he still loves doing for people when he gets the chance!

Josh also loves to cook. This is a skill he’d love to use and develop with Workaway opportunities.

He also loves kids and is a bit of a kid himself sometimes!

Kate is very knowledgeable with technology. Several years ago, she built her own gaming PC back home and Josh can confirm it’s pretty awesome.

Kate’s also pretty handy when it comes to cleaning and maintenance and always enjoys a clean and tidy space.

We adore animals. We’ve both had heaps of cats and dogs in our lives and have a general love for interacting with all animals.

We both love the outdoors and would love to develop our gardening skills. We are both able to take on physically demanding tasks.
