Hey :)
I joined Workaway last summer and spent a month and a half in Slovenia, helping in a Hostel (reception and general maintenance). It was a great way to discover a new country and meet new people with whom I shared cool stories and fun moments with. So I want to find more Workaway experiences :)
I'm a university student, from Lisbon, Portugal. I'm finishing my bachelors in Economics.
I enjoy spending time in nature, being close to the ocean, hitchhiking, exploring new cities… My longest adventure abroad was an exchange semester in Turkey, a year ago. I had a blast, it was great to meet people from such a different culture and to do as much crazy stuff as I could ahah, from riding a packed minibus with many chickens roaming around to helping with rebuilding my friend’s vacation house (I like to do this kind of handiwork too).
I'm quite an easy-going person, I like to see everyone around me having a good time so never a bad time to crack a joke

Quais são suas habilidades?
- Reception related work / and General housekeeping. I have Workaway'ed in a very busy hostel this summer, both managing the front desk, interacting with guests / organizing trips, and keeping the place tidy.
- Simple construction work (painting, basic carpentry knowledge, sanding....). I have been part of several building projects before, mainly when I was a scout.
- Weeding, gardening…
- I know how to handle technology issues to some extent. Due to my university field I can be specially helpful with Excel if needed
- I'll be glad to teach Portuguese or English
- I know how to cook some decent Portuguese dishes ahah
I don't have much experience in some areas such as working with animals, but I'm open to learning so with some help and instructions I'm sure I could adapt quickly
I look forward to learning and acquiring new skills!
