Hello! My name is Jonathan, and I am 26 year old American always looking for my next adventure. I have lived on the east coast my whole life, went to school and work in my nation's capital, Washington D.C.! I found my wanderlust getting the best of me recently, and my sporadic vacations weren't cutting it. I have craved a more non-traditional lifestyle for years and recently got the opportunity to take advantage of my youth and travel to explore different parts of this world.

I started my travels off with two months in Alaska, a travel destination I've had for my whole life. It was incredible, and now I am turning to getting more nautical miles under my belt. I have experience as crew on various sailboats and would like to expand on that, traveling south and living on a boat to try out long-term sailing.

I am at my happiest when I am learning more about various cultures and lands beyond where I've spent my life, and there are countless opportunities through workaway I want to capitalize on!

Professionally I work in marketing - digital campaigns, email marketing, customer experience and engagement, and more.

Personally, I love people and communications as a whole. I have learned all of my skills from friends, family, and strangers that I have simply given the chance to teach me. Woodworking, plumbing, and electrical work from my family. Camping, watersports, fishing and hunting from friends, and kindness above all from absolute strangers.

I love gardening and farmwork, and have always been interested in sustainability and environmentalism when it comes to self-sustaining lifestyles. I went to school in the Appalachian mountains and learned to be gracious for the land we live on. Music is a huge part of my life, and the string-centered songs that hail from Appalachia are always playing in my head.

I love to cook, write, and keep a clean workspace. I am always learning and growing stronger, mentally and physically. All of this becomes easier when I have a unique environment to do it in.

I love games! Board games, card games, charades, and anything in between! I played sports growing up and love to toss a frisbee around. I love the stars, canoeing, all animals, and anything related to music. I am a runner at heart and love to explore on bicycle, too!
