We are a mature couple travelling from Nova Scotia , Canada to Europe and North Africa. Together, we have a wealth of skills including farming, computers and all aspects of building. We speak English, and Thomas speaks German as well. Looking for adventure and experiences!

Quais são suas habilidades?

Thomas is a builder with 40+ years of carpentry experience. He can do plumbing and electrical, and is a computer consultant with an extensive background in data base and accounting. Jayn is in the food service industry, specializing in exceptional service, event management and all things food ! Large batch cooking with quality local ingredients is a passion of Jayn's. We run a small scale sustainable farm with some cash crops, and have experience in organic practices. We raise pigs on pasture each summer, and chickens for eggs. We had our own dairy cow for many years, and raised beef cattle.

We have travelled extensively in Canada and in Europe, and relish in the sights, smells and sounds of new places! Our home is on the East Coast of Canada, in Nova Scotia. There we live in a very lovely intentional community called The Lorax Woodlands, and we value our local economy.

Our week at Annie’s was simply wonderful! She is a great host, very thoughtful and gracious. We mostly worked on fixing up some doors in her house, moving firewood and a few other odd jobs. We enjoyed our week at Silke & Stefan’s place. They are wonderful hosts, and were kind enough to accept us last minute! We helped out in the gardens, weeding and planting, helped with their chickens, did some cleaning, and helped make meals. Excellent Workaway!! Carlo, Federica and their two boys were amazing hosts. We spent a week volunteering with them on their Agritourismo and loved every minute of it.
